Lowered the difficulty all the way to easy, and yes, it's possible to grapple people who are lying on a table. It only results in assorted chops and punches, though, not the ability to, in this case, actually pedigree someone through a table.

Can we edit entrances/movesets/appearance for community creations wrestlers this year?

When the game first came out I didn't really have the money to buy it and borrowed it from a friend for a couple of days.
I wasn't that impressed with it, but now I kinda wanna play it again, so I browsed a little bit on eBay if there was a used one.
I got extremely lucky because I managed to get a copy of the Lord of Darkness edition, in original packaging for just 28€ + shipping.
The funny thing is, everytime I get to buy something of ebay I usually tell the guy I bought something from that I'm gonna transfer the money the next couple of days, just to tell them that I'm not a bullshitter. I don't know how many people do that but I find it to be a nice gesture.
What I find funny is that he didn't care to reply, probably because he's kinda pissed he's only getting 28€ for a game that goes for at least 60€ in the stores.

Supposed to get it next week or so, pretty cool bargain I got here, me thinks.

Yeah that's an annoying aspect of the DLC this year. It all works as it should in the end but it's a bit tedious.

So after getting the DLC I started doing a bunch of classic matches, and then realized that there is a story designer...

Someone created the full history of the WWE (3 Parts), World (1 Part), and WCW championships (3 Parts).

I started the WWE one, the first part starts literally at the beginning with some pretty good old school CAWs and movesets. After winning it up to Ivan Koloff (3 matches), I started Part 2, which begins with Undertaker's first reign.

After just looking at the list of WWE Champs.....this could be a good thing to go back to every once in a while.

Definitely not a sit down and play in 1 sitting type of thing....but so far, pretty fun.

That sounds awesome. (Y)

Picked up the latest DLC pack myself. I was a little disappointed that the American Badass Undertaker's entrance didn't include his motorcycle and that it uses his current entrance theme; obviously they're unlikely to pay for the rights for Kid Rock's "American Badass" or Limp Bizkit's "Rollin" but he did use a couple of themes after that which were composed by Jim Johnston.

Easy fix though, you can use Chuck Palumbo's entrance and a custom mp3.

That's pretty good. It's a bit goofier than Taker's mannerisms when he ran with his biker gimmick but it's a respectable workaround. (Y)

So basically....

New animation system
Orton laid out an opponent and went to the ring apron, Cena immediately started his 5-Knuckle Shuffle routine on the downed man, and as Cena was coming down, Randy Orton launched himself from the apron to land a splash. Orton hit, Cena hit, and Orton hit again. The sequence was polished and fast -- it looked like a spot from ECW of old. There was no blown animation as the character on the ground reacted to the first move and ignored the other.

New Grapple system
The days of analog stick grapples are over. Now, everything's going back to the face buttons of your favorite controller. Grapple, strike, pin and Finisher are all right there for the taking. There are no strong and weak grapples -- the moves you're pulling off are dependent on how worn down the opponent is.

New Submission system
[quoet]Work the head, and the opponent is going to be a groggy mess. All this plays into how easy it'll be to get an opponent to tap in the new "Breaking Point" submission system where players tap buttons in a tug of war mini-game. [/quote]
Comebacks
WWE '12 also adds Dynamic Comebacks, which are those tried and true combos you see folks like Cena throw out that take them from the edge of defeat to clearing the ring. If you reach a certain amount of damage, you'll be able to have a shot to use this one-time combo. Pull it off, and you get two Finishers.

Right now, I'm giving it a meh. I love the idea of interrupting animations and allowing multiple hits at the same time to count but it seems like they are beating around the bush more than ever with the new systems in place, new this new that. Does anyone else agree that they need a fresh engine?

I don't mind the engine they have in place, for me the gameplay usually delivers for the most part. I do like the idea of going back to face buttons, I kind of prefer strong and weak grapples with the ability to pull off big moves early if you want but I can see where they're coming from in moving away from that. Interrupting animations is good and the new submission system sounds promising. I think I'm going to like the gameplay well enough.

I hope they improve the game modes, though. I wasn't a huge fan of the way WWE Universe worked out last year, it was a really good concept and all but they overdid the run-ins and the like so it was fortunate that it could be switched off. The concept could stand to be tweaked. Road to Wrestlemania definitely needs to be fresher, there needs to be more story branching and a standalone GM Mode, somewhere between the old concept and WWE Universe would be nice.

As for the name change, seems like a good idea. They've been running with that name for a while though and as mentioned in the interview, while the brand split remains there isn't much of a rivalry or exclusiveness associated with it these days so the name had become a bit of a relic. WWE '12 isn't the most creative title, just the same format as any other sports video game, but it's to the point and appropriate.

best news so far for me, the colors are still kinda off and the WWE belt still looks flat as hell, but it's a step into the right direction.

So far I'm yet to be impressed by anything. Last year's installment was a must buy because of the new physics system, but this year I have yet to see anything that makes me actually want to buy this.

Those belts are still too small if you ask me, or are the character models just aren't proportioned well?
