I had read that just a few weeks ago, pretty funny honestly. Even if you saw something similar to this coming, in the end, you wouldn't expect dirt to be the highest valued resource. That one team that builds the floating base just owns those guys.

Anyways I started playing this game a few weeks ago after finding some cools mods. If you've never heard of tekkit or technic pack of mods, look them up. They add a bunch of electrical machines and tools that totally change the game. Industrial Craft 2 in particular is my favourite. There's different tiers of items that build upon the vanilla Minecraft mechanics, but add lot more things to do and build. I just finished building my first Nuclear Reactor, and made my first few pieces of Quantum armor that honestly take forever to get materials for.

My entire house is completely automated, I just drop my shit into a chest when I walk in and everything gets sorted into labelled chests after being worked (grind, smelt, extract, canned, or recycled among others).

If you're one to play around a little bit with redstone, or build even moderately intricate organization systems in Minecraft, check it out. It's free and literally takes 2 minutes to install. Makes the game have a lot more depth and the pack includes mods that get rid of some of the tediousness and repetitiveness that vanilla Minecraft can often have. I'm pretty much a God now, which you think would make the game boring, but there's still more stuff to build, and just the fact that it took me so long to get to where I am, it doesn't make the endgame items feel overpowering (imo).

Anyone have any interest in playing in an NLSC server? It would be survival vanilla, but I guess servers only cost a few bucks a month, so I'd be willing to front that for some fun SMP

I'm all for it come October, if we're left with any time in the day after modding 2K13.

well, I got a server. Just waiting to hear about making sure it isn't public. Anyone want in? Leftos and I will be recording, doing an LP probably. You could/should too if you want something to make very little $$$ on through YouTube.

I'd play just for kicks. Haven't played vanilla in quite some time, and never really played consistently with others on a server before, but I think it'd be fun.

i wanted to brew something so I needed to kill a blaze.
enter the nether, immediately blow up because a creeper went down there
go back in to get my stuff, except the zombie pigmen are aggro
one of them has a damn fire aspect 1, knockback 1, sharpness 2 sword
finally get my stuff, dodge the bossman, run to my portal....its been shut off and explosions all around it from ghasts.
go back, kill the pigmen who were mad bro, couldnt find the "bossman" go and kill a blaze at my infamous fortress
head back, go through the portal, damn bossman waiting for me in the upper world....
kill him, get great sword, and it has your name on it.

I built a teleport next to my underground spawn point. I think it was too close to the other one you had in the desert though, because it kept teleporting me back out there. In your videos, you mentioned how tough those pigmen are, so in an attempt to get back to the spawn, I hit one of them. Another time I went in, I got followed by a creeper. Another time I went in and came back out in the teleport at your spawn point. So I've kind of given up on the Nether at the moment.

but that is a pretty awesome explanation, lol. My portal actually linked back to the "desert" one as well, and I am out there. I think you need to go over 1024 blocks to be out of range. Hell naw, Vanilla Snapshots Hard mode. Aside from the fact that the server I rent cannot handle all that goes into FTB.
