It's Okay To Watch A Show Called Cougar Town

Benji is right again.

Midway through season 1. First couple episodes were garbage, but now I can't stop watching it. Still prefer Scrubs, but Cougar Town is actually funny sometimes.

Picked up season 1 from Amazon.com since it costed me 20 dollars less to do that and have it shipped than to buy it in Australia. I thought the first two episodes were solid but now I'm definitely hooked.

Definitely better than Modern Family in my opinion

Lawrence admits the first few episodes are not that great, they have some great moments, but it takes later in the first season to get going like the second season will. You can tell when they made the decision to go with the legendary ensemble.

God I miss this.

Hell, I miss Modern Family. Hell, I miss The Middle.

Mr. Sunshine just isn't enough.

I think I like all the characters except for Ellie. Jules kind of grates on me a little, but I find her likeable. The other characters well and truly make up for the fact I find those two annoying. I love Andy's fanaticism for Bobby.

EDIT: By the way, I watched Spin City back when Michael J Fox was in it and I stopped after he left because I thought it wouldn't be any good without him.

Yeah, I thought ABC would manage to make a good show out of this even though all the previews weren't that great (just like for Better Off Ted or Cougar Town), but it's just not doing it for me. It has its moments but Matt Perry isn't as funny as he could be.

Probably because he isn't on cocaine. I miss Cougar Town & Modern Family too. I feel the Cul-Du-Sac gang just abandoned me. =(

I haven't watched Mr. Sunshine, I have them on the laptop but the previews just haven't done it for me. I'm waiting for a moment of complete and utter boredom to watch them.

Mr. Sunshine is actually alright, the problem is Matthew Perry is only given one and a half good characters to work with in the boss and Roman. Alonzo and the girl from Better Off Ted are just not good characters. The episode where nobody would work for Ben was better than most of them because those characters were interesting. They've been really hit or miss so far. The show works far better when Perry is the unlikeable but only reasonable one with a bunch of nutjobs. Forgot about the intern secretary at first, the date episode was hot shit.

I like it though, I wouldn't it mind it as a long-term fourth-wheel of the The Middle-Modern Family-Cougar Town car.

In the few minutes where CT was mentioned the only slightly negative jab was about the name, which Bill Lawrence himself admits that he hates.
It was something along the lines of "If you're going to keep talking about it, at least stop saying the name."

And another new one on Wednesday I think. I almost thought this had been canceled, there hasn't been any new episode in a while.

It would kick ass if this show got cancelled.

Shame they couldn't make it the exact scene he described on Community. Pretty cool that both shows allowed cameos by members of the other though.
