I think the point is that The Wire depicts the strategy and lifestyle so well. I think it's impressive that someone can copy a show's techniques and successfully get away with it for quite some time.

I've been pretty much making it my duty to force people to watch this show. It's still easily my favorite TV series to date. Which is really saying something with all the great TV that's been put out over the years, such as Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Sopranos, Dexter, Game of Thrones, and Boardwalk Empire to name a few.

I still remember feeling like a little 12 year old girl during the series finale when Michael is revealed to be the new Omar, shotgun and all.
