Maybe I am watching a different show, but how are they pressuring him?
Dana saying that he hopes one of the eliminated guys gets another shot (when everyone, including Matt himself knew the whole speech was directed at him) is as good as saying he wants Matt to drop out of the competition. That is pressure considering Matt has already won a fight and earned his spot in the quarter finals. He is a tool and a drama queen but I've watched every season and never seen anyone be pushed towards quitting as hard as he is. They always try to talk them into staying, with Matt you've got Rashad saying do what you want and Dana saying leave so someone else gets a chance.
Just look at the year where Matt Serra's friend lost his first fight and wanted to leave to be with his girlfriend, he spent days crying and saying he wanted to leave, skipping practice etc, Matt tried like 4 times to talk him into staying, Dana tried to talk him into staying and that guy had already lost his fight. Yet a guy who has won a fight and is still active in the competition is being essentially told by Dana to leave so someone else can have a shot.
And I'm with Hendo on this one. Ufc has the money
That sets a bad precedent. You give Henderson the money he wants then suddenly every other guy wants a pay-rise, especially the ones who are more successful than Henderson. Then you get into a situation where the fighters are being paid stupid amounts of money and the company will begin to struggle financially. He's an upper-tier guy in his weight division who's already lost to the current champion with probably a handful of fights left in him, we're not talking about Machida or Lesnar, someone the company is being marketed around.
