Sounds like a decent Bruce Wayne to me with how you described it.

So which one is it? Don't tell me you even get confused by your own opinions?

Kevin Smith mentioned he has seen Snyder's batsuit, with affleck and almost creamed himself over it.
If nothing else, it'll look cool
Sun Feb 16, 2014 8:17 pm
Look cooler than Bale in Batsuit?
lol what's the problem with a depressed softie as Batman?
Mon Feb 17, 2014 1:43 am
This proves that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about this entire time.
First you think Affleck will make a bad Batman but a good Bruce Wayne then your brain process did a complete shutdown and now you say he will not be a good Bruce Wayne for a reason that could make him a good Batman.
Please stop, we don't want you to have a brain aneurysm when you're trying to think of more incomprehensible reasons.

Well, if it proves that, then I shouldn't continue with the risk of brain aneurysm.

That Batsuit better be good.

My Batman will always be The Animated Series and Keaton. But that's just my opinion.
Anyhow great and bad news!
Goyers script is being rewritten as we speak by Chris Terrio or maybe even done. Affleck will bring more of his former collaborators to help in future movies. Geoff Johns famous for Justice League New 52, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Teen Titans, and Superman Last Son, is now a producer on film and will be overseeing the project in efforts to build a DCU. Johns will be Kevin Feige. Affleck's suit is rumored to be a cross of the Jim Lee suit mixed with Dark Knight Returns and a Kingdom Come tech suit is also rumored to be in it. Kevin Smith was the one who said it will be like the Jim Lee suit. Justice League filming back to back is still simply a rumor and that this movie will be only about Superman and Batman with Wonder Woman as a supporting cast leading to her solo movie. Again we are unsure but the actress is bulking up and learning to fight for the role so maybe she has a bigger role I don't know. Jeremy Irons is now ALFRED and Jesse Eisenberg is now LEX LUTHOR.
Werid pick for Lex but I will wait till I see the movie. Seems like they are going for a Birthright/Smallvile young Lex LUTHOR I don't know. Will post links soon to my sources.
Bad news:
No title yet for the movie...
Thu Feb 27, 2014 1:11 pm
Also, they just started filming this month in Detriot, and it will be the setting for Gotham City and during daytime it will be Metropolis. I want Batman Returns Gotham back. Best Gotham City of all time so stylistic and yet you can't pin point the time period because it's all on its own. Also if you think Nolan Trilogy is best ever, than you haven't seen Batman yet. Here's the real Batman:
Batman the Animated Series
Arkham City
Arkham Aslyum
Batman (1989)
Batman Returns
Batman Beyond (BATMAN NEVER QUITS EVEN AT 80 YEARS OLD)
Batman/Superman World's Finest
Batman/Superman animated movies
Justice League
Justice League Unlimited
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Young Justice
Now for comics:
The Dark Knight Returns
Batman the Killing Joke
Batman the Long Halloween
Batman Year One
Batman Hush
Batman Knightfall
Justice League Tower of Babel
Kingdom Come
Batman/Superman
Batman Death in a Family
Batman Death of the Family
Batman Court of the Owls
Final Crisis
Batman Battle for the Cowl
Now GO and remove that Nolan crap from your spirit!

I can't recommend the 89 Batman and Batman Returns movies to my friends who: a) haven't read a Batman comic book; b) only seen the Nolan Batman movies, and c) if they are five to seven years younger than I am.

GASP, I'M SHOCKED:
First came “Man of Steel.” Next up is “Batman vs. Superman.” And then, “Justice League.”
Confirming the studio’s plans for a movie based on its iconic super-team for the first time, Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman said the studio has set plans to make a “Justice League” movie.
Like “Man of Steel” and its follow-up, which starts production next month, “Justice League” will be directed by Zack Snyder. Henry Cavill is expected to return as Superman, along with Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, who play Batman and Wonder Woman, respectively, in 2016’s “Man of Steel” sequel tentatively titled “Batman vs. Superman.”
“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” said Mr. Silverman. “’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”
A script is still in development and Warner has not set a release date, though the movie is unlikely to come out before 2018. Mr. Silverman would not comment on what other heroes might join Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in the movie. However the studio has recently been casting the role of Cyborg, a half-robotic hero who is expected to have a cameo in “Batman vs. Superman” and then appear in “Justice League.” Other DC heroes who have been in Justice League comic books include Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern.
Mon Apr 28, 2014 12:44 pm
Warner Bros. has several other movies in development unconnected to the Justice League that are based on DC superheroes and fantasy and crime titles from its Vertigo line of genre comics, said Mr. Silverman and Toby Emmerich, president of Warner’s New Line Cinema label. They include “Shazam,” “Metal Men,” “100 Bullets,” and “Fables.”
YES

I can't fucking wait for Shazam, fact.

Surprised it's taken them this long, what with Marvel having The Avengers out in 2012 and two sequels on the way.
Mon Apr 28, 2014 2:01 pm
It's because they had Nolan's Batman going and this Superman stuff has been in the works, and a mess, for a while. Originally they were doing a sequel to Superman Returns. They also considered doing a completely separate Justice League universe to the individual hero films.
It was after Nolan's series ended that they realized they could use Man of Steel to reboot the entire DC Film Universe. And so they're basically going Superman -> World's Finest -> Justice League -> Spin-off movies.
It's actually smarter than Marvel's approach was in terms of putting everything on a single page with an original core point of birth. (see: The Hulk for where Marvel's method can breakdown.)

Financially, Marvel is way ahead of DC. And Marvel doesn't even care for quality, only quantity. Avengers, Iron Man 3-- all were shit.
Also, why does everything have to be connected to Man Of Steel? What's wrong with a new Superman along with Ben Affleck?
Mon Apr 28, 2014 8:06 pm
Because they had already signed Cavill to multiple films.

Yes, they have. But I'm pointing to their more recent works. After Iron Man in 2008, look at the quality and quantity ratio. They completely shit on the X-Men series. Failed to make quality stuff like X2, Hulk or Spider-Man 2. Mostly average stuff with nothing new to offer like Captain America and Thor. But they wanted to make more and more, so sequels. With no care for standards. And they aren't hit on the animation side either.
But look at DC in comparison. They make quality animated movies each year. Son of Batman this year, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox last year and so on. The Nolan Batman series which is > than all of the Marvel movies combined. And it's not like DC has less characters. So, they could have made a movie and started to bump out sequels just for the money, but they didn't. They are walking in that direction now, but still.

I was very excited to see The Avengers. But after I finished it, I got a feeling which later I got again after watching Man Of Steel. "Really?"
I couldn't find one thing in the movie made me go "oh shit" or "that's cool". It was all just "action-cheese-seen it coming". Of course, the action sequences were great. They poured so much money and promotion, it was bound to be. But the main issue along with many other issues in the movie was, it just didn't have a dense plot to be all "superheroes unite to save the world". It's predictable from the word go. The dialogues felt like a mid 90s movie. Boring whenever there is no boom boom loudness.
When you compare all the elements to say "Batman Begins"(only because The Avengers is the hottest record-breaking gold mine BLOCKBUSTER!), it gives a "4yr old girl Vs Hulk" image.
Spider-Man 2 was the best Marvel movie in my opinion. It dealt with complex emotions and a well-balanced story with some good action here and there as well.

OK we have to clear some things up.
X-Men is not marvel studios, and they have no control over that direction it took (although I still like X3). First Class was awesome and I'm semi-excited for Days of Future Past
Spider-man is not Marvel Studios, its Sony (Spider-man 2 was shit. He beats Doc Ock by talking to him then MJ runs in slow motion through NYC...the last 20 minutes negate all good things in the rest of that flick, sort of like the crane scene in amazing spider-man)
Starting with Iron Man, all the the connected marvel movies are marvel studios.
You must not spend a lot of time with comics. For years (and still mostly to this day) DC has been about the story and Marvel has been about "fuck that's cool." Its a different style and they really can't be compared to each other. Which is why Snyder being in charge of DC pisses me off. That fucker has no idea how to connect imagery to story to make a film brilliant.

I see. I didn't know Marvel Studios & Marvel Comics were separate. I read up on that now.
But man, seriously? First Class? X2 was the best of the series then X-Men. The others sucked imo.
As for First Class, a lot of stuff bothered me. Like misrepresentation X-Men history. Professor X did NOT have the function of legs when he initially founded the X-men, it was NOT Magneto who took it away from him, and Banshee was one of the first villains they fought, no accent from Moira and Banshe, cheesy Beast, Alex/Scott relationship. And what's up with the messed up ages? But the biggest problem I found was that they tried too hard to cram the characters. I'm not gonna even start on Kevin Bacon acting. I know you are a big time comics reader, hence I don't understand why you liked this one.
But Wolverine cameo was awesome.
And I agree with DC being the better one. And Marvel studios just adds more to my initial argument, that DC is way better. And Marvel is mostly in it for the money.
Mon May 05, 2014 12:32 am
You like X-Men and X2 and yet hate First Class for 'misrepresentation' of X-Men history? Maybe you should watch 1 and 2 again.
I agree that First Class is awesome only because of Michael Fassbender. Dat bar scene with the old men.
That scene made me want that (cancelled) Magneto movie to happen just so I can watch it.
Then again most of the Magneto script got inserted into First Class, which probably was the reason for First Class being awesome, so it's no surprise that Fassbender looked good just for being Magneto.
Don't be ashamed to admit it Oz that what made First Class more awesome was that Take That song in the end credits.

lol this is the kind of the thing that makes comic fans look like cry babies, did The Joker's face paint in The Dark Knight bother you too for misrepresenting his history?
Tue May 06, 2014 11:43 am
First Class is a great X-Men movie. I think it's the best among every X-Men movie ever released. At least it's not "An X-Men Movie Starring Wolverine".

I don't know about you, Winter Soldier is a fantastic sequel. Broke my expectations. The Amazing Spider-man 2 however, is cluttered. If you haven't seen it yet, I'd tell you: just watch the trailer. All of the plot is in there.
