So, Judgment Day 2008 has come and gone. In case anyone's holding out for a replay of the show, I'll use the spoiler tags.
I didn't order the show but I did follow along with the live results on WrestlingNewsWorld.com. I was disappointed that Undertaker didn't recapture the belt as I'd like to see him have a long run but the situation with the title remaining vacant is something they haven't done for a while and apparently Vickie's announcement about the ramifications of the countout finish drew tremendous heat.

I think Undertaker might take the title on ONS because if he lost the match, he will be fired.
Seems likely, given the stipulation.

Or that will make him go to RAW, making SmackDown even more dull.

EDIT: Are we seeing another Career Threatening Stipulation?

I guess that couldn't be ruled out but I reckon it's unlikely.

Orton's new entrance music makes me feel that the old one is better.

I thought his old music suited him better as well. I'm not fond of Jeff Hardy's new theme either.

I don't like his new music and the "Burn in my Light" song is better.

Completely agree. I even thought Orton's music was kinda cool in combination with his entrance. New one sounds gay.

Anyone happy that Regal's gone? Well I am.
A little skit showed Teddy Long coming out of Regal's office, so he's probably going to be the new GM of Raw.
That'd be cool, although I see Long more as a SD guy.

He's currently serving a 60 day suspension for violating the Wellness Policy, so presumably he'll be back as an active wrestler at some point after his suspension is over. I thought he was pretty good in the role as he drew a good amount of heat but if he's going to be pushed as a wrestler he's better off without the GM role in his gimmick as well.

When I heard Orton's new music on Judgment Day, I thought it suits his psycho character. But still gay. I still prefer Burn in My Light.

I've read somewhere that CM Punk's music was used by Orton before.

About Teddy, I'd like to see him back on SmackDown. Just to balance things out and have a face GM again.

It was, for about a week a couple of years ago. Changing it back was a good idea.

Ted DiBiase Jr made his debut on RAW, introduced by his father. I reckon it would be cool if he kept his father's theme; I also liked the twist on his father's cathphrase about everyone having a price, but he was simply priceless. Supposedly he's way ahead of the curve compared to other developmental prospects which bodes well for him. I've read that there's talk of Cody Rhodes turning heel and forming a stable with DiBiase comprised of second generation wrestlers that would also include DH Smith and Nattie Neidhart.

Reliving the old RAW days, I think.

Anyways I just saw Judgment day and laughed at Edge's entrance when the pyros went wrong, he had to do it twice.

I just watched one night stand and it was definitly better than judgement day. Something unexpected happens with randy orton and the edge and taker match will piss alot of people off.

One Night Stand, same here.
Orton got a broken collar bone after a fall.
Undertaker lost, which means he's out of Smackdown or WWE for that matter as the stipulation requires.
Hope that when Orton returns, he'll use "Burn in My Light" again. And I've got a feeling that 'Taker will move to RAW. Leaving Smackdown with no great-great superstar.

I was like 'what the fuck' when I saw it. Maybe Taker has some private problems and needs a break.

If not Undertaker, then hopefully Batista will be the next champ after Edge.

That's how predictable SmackDown is. The title just changes hands with those three. (Besides there's not much main event level superstars on SmackDown)

Those three and Mysterio. Maybe he'll come back and make a run. Particularly with Edge being the new champion.
Supposedly Undertaker is looking to take some time off. Perhaps he'll end up returning on RAW or the stipulation will be forgotten, much like Mysterio being forced to quit to write him off the show for a few months back in 2006.

Anyway, a disappointing scenario in my book. If this was Taker's last run or if he's going to miss any amount of time, I believe he should have been able to reign from Wrestlemania until now. Even Khali got to hold the belt for a couple of months.
Postby BIG GREEN on Tue Jun 03, 2008 9:22 am

...and now for Big Green's wrestling news and rumours :

 Ric Flair is expected to be brought back to television within the next few weeks. More than likely it will be a one-time appearance to promote the release of his next DVD, but a regular role shouldn't be ruled out.

 It is well known that William Regal has had problems with recreational drugs in the past; ultimately losing his job two times over it (early 1998 from WCW and April 1999 from WWE), as well as a stint in rehab (early 1999). However, he has long since claimed to be clean. No one has said anything on Regal struggling to maintain his sobriety, so that the theory of him failing a drug test due to recreational drugs appears to be out.

Regal has been telling people that believes he took an illegal supplement by mistake, which led to his drug failure. However, a number of people are skeptical of that, mostly because so many athletes have used that excuse in the past and its rarely believed. While it may not necessarily be true, the belief backstage among a few people in WWE is that Regal started taking steroids again somewhat recently due to his renewed push after winning the King of the Ring tournament. Considering that he was being pushed as an active wrestler and not just a suited-up authority figure, the feeling is that he needed to get back on the gas to look his absolute best.

Obviously, Regal doesn't have the chiseled bodybuilder look that many people associate with steroid use, but he didn't have that look when he was nabbed for buying steroids online last August either. According to Sports Illustrated, Regal purchased a variety of performance enhancing drugs including stanozolol, somatropin, genotropin and anastrozole between November 2004 and November 2006 through Signature Pharmacy, an alleged illegal internet drug distribution network.

In other Regal news, even though he's been living in the country since 1992, WWE Raw star William Regal is still not a legal U.S. citizen. A third strike on the Wellness Policy could be potentially devastating as he would be forced to be terminated from the company and in danger of not being able to stay in the country if he is unable to find a new full-time job.

Every other time Regal was let go, he would quickly get back on his feet and land a new job with another wrestling company within mere months if not weeks. After being let go from WCW in early 1998, he quickly landed a job with WWE. After being let go from WWE in April 1999, Regal landed a job with WCW two months later. After being let go from WCW in February 2000 because they had nothing for him, Regal was quickly hired by WWE and sent to Memphis Championship Wrestling for a short time before re-debuting in September of that year.

Nowadays, Regal's only other options are TNA and possibly Ring of Honor as they're pretty much the only U.S. companies signing wrestling talent for full-time work. It's possible that TNA could hire Regal, but that's far from a guarantee. If Regal were to be fired from WWE, it's either find a job with one of those two companies if he wants to continue wrestling, or possibly start looking for a new line of work.

 WWE.com has removed the Undertaker's profile from the Smackdown! page.

Undertaker will still be on SVR09 as Andrew said that he's just taking time off and will return soon.

Edit: Don't you think guys that Undertaker might return with his biker gimmick?
