Wow...they really don't want me to stop playing. I'm guessing the alien abduction DLC will allow us to stock up on more ammo for the alien blaster/Firelance. The aliens themselves could prove to be tough foes however.

Guess, I'll just wait until October to buy the game.

Oh crap, they've done that before with the The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition.

I see it from the interview that the alien guy's model we saw by the UFO will be re-used in this. Can't wait to see some previews.

They'll be pretty formidable if they're armed with blasters, though with a built up character, a good weapon and Grim Reaper's Sprint it probably won't be too bad. On a related note, the Super Mutant Overlords and Feral Ghoul Reavers added in Broken Steel can be a real pain.

I'm buying a new video card this weekend so I will be back on playing this game once again. But it'd be awesome, if someone could send me a saved file since I lost all mine. =(

I really don't have time to start this game from beginning...

Yeah read that too. Since I started a new game, I'm currently doing Moira's quest. Heading to the Minefield to be exact. I'll format my PC though, the problem of the framerate drop is still whacking it.

Make sure you have a Perception of at least 7 so you can provide the "Perception" answer to Moira. (Y)

I'm still building up my character but I'm starting on a few of the quests, currently at Level 19 with a few skills at 100. By the time I reach Level 30, I should have everything maxed out.

Much appreciated.

I previously had lvl 20 last hope for the mankind. I had maxed out persuasion stuff and not much science. But I wouldn't mind total opposite characters since it'll be a total new experience. Just any saved file will do, since I don't really like farming for EXPs and gold and stuff.

I'm currently on my way to Level 21. Maxed out Small Guns, Big Guns, Speech, Science, Medicine, Lockpick, Repair and Sneak while everything else is at least 50. It's definitely getting harder to level up and I've burned through a fair few quests so the last ten levels added by Broken Steel could be a bit lengthy but then there's the new DLC coming out so I guess I'll get there eventually...and finally put it down in time for NBA Live '10 later this year.

8, plus I've got the "Educated" perk so it works out to 21 skill points at each level up (10+8+3).

Here's what my character has. Some numbers are a little inaccurate due to what I am addicted to or what I am wearing.

Strength 8
Perception 9
Endurance 5
Charisma 10
Intelligence 10
Agility 5
Luck 5

Barter 80
Big Guns 67
Energy Weapons 100
Explosives 42
Lockpick 100

Repair 93
Science 96
Small Guns 77
Speech 80
Unarmed 22

Perks-

Action Girl
AuroAxpert
Black Widow
Contract Killer
Daddy's girl
Dream Crusher
Educated(23 points for every level up, even though I am at 20)
Here and Now
Intense Training(9)
Lawbringer
Pitt Fighter
Power Armer Training
Scoundrel
Strong Back
Theif
Wired Reflexes

Quests completed 22
Locations found 122
Bobbleheads found 9

Quests I am on right now are

Free Labor(Into the Pitt DLC)
Big Trouble in Bi Town
Head of State
The Waters of Life
Strictly Business
The Nuka-Cola Challenge(I have alot of the Quantums, I just need to fast travel back to finish the quest)
Blood Ties

Finished quests

Unsafe Workig conditions
Into the Pitt
Reilly's Rangers
Wasteland Survival guide
Agatha's Song
The Superhuman Gambit
You Gotta Shoot Em in the Head
Stealing Independence
Operation:Anchorage
Paving the Way

Some good weapons I have(all with a good amount of ammo, and some with too much)

A3-21 Plasma Rifle
Gauss Rifle(love this one, it fucks Super Mutants up)
Infiltrator
Lincoln's Repeater
Metal Blaster(Laser Rifle with a spread shot and more damage)
Minigun
Protectron's Gaze(Laser Pistol with a spread shot)
Reservist's Rifle
Vengeance
Wild Bill's Sidearm
Bunch of grenades and mines of different types

Armor of note-
Chinese Stealth Armor
Poplar's Hood
Gamma Shield Armor
Ghoul Mask
Linden's Outcast Power Armor(I have this on so my weight is at 290)
Metal Mastor Armor
Trader hat and outfit to boost Barter
Surgeon's Lab Coat for Science and Medicine
Vault 101 Utility Jumpsuit for Repair/Lockpick

I've got 100 Stimpaks, alot of Radaway and Rad-X, 15 Nuka-Cola Quantum's to finish that quest, 73 Bobbypin's, 44 fingers to sell, 14,495 BottleCaps, and 390 HP. I also bought a room at Rivet City and have a bunch of shit in the footlocker. I hope the NPC's don't steal it because I seem to have to pay everytime I go there to access the room if I don't lockpick it.

Karma is Very Evil / Scourge of Humanity

Complete opposite of my first character, which I would say was the "good" route. I also have alot of saves because I never overwrite them. I havent installed Broken Steel yet, so I have wasted alot of XP and perks that could have been.

That Chinese Stealth armor is pretty useful if the Sneak/Stealth skill is at 100.

That's one of the reasons I started again. I still reckon the last nine Levels will be tough, though occasionally avoiding fast travel is a good way to rack up XP here and there. I decided to follow Dad across the Wasteland back to Rivet City after rescuing him from Vault 112, that was fairly profitable.

My stats:

Strength: 10
Perception: 7
Endurance: 7
Charisma: 7
Intelligence: 8
Agility: 7
Luck: 3 (currently +1 thanks to the Lucky 8 Ball)

Barter: 75
Big Guns: 100
Energy Weapons: 56
Explosives: 75
Lockpick: 100
Medicine: 100
Melee Weapons: 60
Repair: 100
Science: 100
Small Guns: 100
Sneak: 100
Speech: 100
Unarmed: 52

Level 21, Very Good Karma (Restorer of Faith)

Perks are as follows:

Action Boy
Ant Might
Auto Axpert
Booster Shot
Commando
Comprehension
Educated
Explorer
Grim Reaper's Sprint
Gun Nut (3)
Gunslinger
Hematophage
Intense Training (1)
Light Step
Pitt Fighter
Rad Regeneration
Silent Running
Size Matters (1)
Sniper
Strong Back
Survival Guru
Tag!
Thief (3)
Wired Reflexes

Misc stats:

Quests Completed: 24
Locations Found: 124
Bobbleheads Found: 19 (haven't gone through Raven Rock yet, so I haven't grabbed the Energy Weapons bobblehead)

Active quests:

The Waters of Life
Stealing Independence
Strictly Business
Aiding the Outcasts

Completed quests:

Free Labor
Unsafe Working Conditions
Into The Pitt
Tranquility Lane
Scientific Pursuits
Big Trouble in Big Town
The Replicated Man
Galaxy News Radio
The Superhuman Gambit
Following in his Footsteps
Reilly's Rangers
Head of State
Tenpenny Tower
You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head
Those!
Wastleland Survival Guide
Blood Ties
The Power of the Atom
Oasis
The Nuka-Cola Challenge
Escape!
Future Imperfect
Growing Up Fast
Baby Steps

Notable items:

Alien Blaster
Dart Gun
Deathclaw Gauntlet
Rock-It Launcher
The Terrible Shotgun
Ranger Battle Armor
A3-21's Plasma Rifle
Experimental MIRV
Infiltrator
Gatling Laser
Miss Launcher
Tri-beam Laser Rifle (thank you, Super Mutant Overlords. You are worthy foes.)
Ashur's Power Armor
Ghoul Mask
Ledoux's Hockey Mask
Linden's Outcast Power Armor
Shady Hat
T-51b Power Armor
T-51b Power Helmet
The AntAgonizer's Helmet and Costume
The Mechanist's Helmet and Costume
Various jumpsuits, lab uniforms and other similar ability boosting apparel. Oh, and Sexy Sleepwear.
Frag mines and grenades
Pulse mines and grenades
Bottlecap mines

Needless to say, I'm using my Megaton house to store most of the stuff, only carrying what I need. I've got a fair bit of aid stocked there too, including 137 Stimpaks in the locker and a fridge with a lot of Ice Cold Nuka-Cola and Nuka-Cola Quantum. I usually carry another 50 or so Stimpaks on me at any one time since they're weightless. I've also got a bunch of miscellaneous stuff in my locker for custom weapons.

Have any of you guys (PC only I guess) installed the "FOOK" mod? It adds, among many other things, 120 new weapons in the game, and most of them are really well done
Having tons of fun with that...

Right now, I must be at level 27 or 28 (I installed the mod that allows you to keep leveling up without the infamous crash bug, but it still shows that you're at lvl 20), I have around 100,000 caps (don't even know what to do with those), I'm at 100 at almost every skill, and I'm "the last Hope of Humanity". I completed most of the quests (just have one or two left in the main quest) and only have to visit the Northern/Northwestern part of the map. I think I'm at 62 hours of gameplay right now.

Best game ever, there I said it.

I'm quickly running out of quests. Level 30's going to be tough to achieve. I'm keeping the Operation: Anchorage quests aside for now though, plenty of XP to be gained in the simulation so I'll hold off until I'm up a few levels. Then again with even more DLC coming and respawning enemies it mightn't be too hard, certainly not impossible.

Up to Level 25 and about a quarter of the way to 26. Getting closing to maxing everything out, only Energy Weapons (85), Explosives (85), Melee Weapons (75) and Unarmed (75) left to go. I'm onto the Broken Steel quests with a couple of others I've been holding back for the XP to make it to Level 30...and whatever the next lot of DLC adds. I've said it before but I'll say it again, they really don't want me to put the game down.
