Kudos to Spain, although Italy played surprisingly well during the whole match. They shouldn't have let Di Natale kick that penalty, as they knew the crowd would do anything to make him miss. Also, considering he's not a brilliant striker, I think Del Piero should've taken his place.

Excellent game by two of my favorite players, Mauro Camoranesi adn Giorgio Chiellini.

Also, Silva and Senna from Spain played extremely well. In my opinion, the best plays from Spain tonight came from them.

Chiellini did play well. However, the Italian defense was a little bit shaky near the end of the 2nd half of ET. They were lucky that the game proceeded to the penalties stage.

no surprises in the final 4....never underestimate Guus Hiddink....he did it for Korea & Australia, he was always going to get it done for Russia....first Euro 2007 bball, now Euro 2008 fball, great to see (Y) great to see them knock out the Dutch (Y)

I'm happy for any of the final 4 teams to win except Germany....

Joe' wrote:Un-fucking-believable. They did not deserve to pass but they played better so kudos. What was up with Holland tonight? And how did the Russians keep running like that for 120 minutes?

it's called Guus Hiddink....he did the same for the Aussies for the World Cup....and for Korea the previous World Cup....he gets his players super fit so when it comes down to winning the game in the last 10 minutes, they have the fitness to use their skill....

Was the game's feed out was well for you Europeans and Australians out there? Or was ESPN feeding us some BS?

I realized that the ESPN commentators aren't even at the game?! They must be watching the game on a television from the studio because when the feed went out, they weren't commentating on the game at all. Is this normal for the commentators to not actually be at the game?

Heavy storm over Middle-Europe. We had some problems watching the game, even here in Austria.

When the first problems occured it was 1-1 I think and I left the TV, when it was working again it was 2-2 all of sudden. Really fucked up.

I think we all know Germany deserved to pass more than Turkey, regardless of how they played tonight.

We had issues watching the game here in Northern Italy as well.

Left for class when it was 1-1 around the 70th minute... Figured Germany would win, but 3-2 in just Full Time? Flurry of goals.

We had problems here, too.

I was so tired that I fell asleep and I haven't seen the goals yet. Scoring in the last minute finally bit Turkey in the ass.

Where did the ref cost you the game ? When he didnt blow his whistle after Lahm got hacked inside the box ?

Germany did not play well, but Turkey also played "like shit" in the last games but won. It is all about winning in the end. No one blames you for winning by playing in a bad way. No one did it after Turkeys last minute wins, so why should we blame Germany now.

Actually I thought we were really effective in front of the goal. Will be hard against Russia/Spain, but it will also be a different game.

Not sure what that has to do with anything..they're out, aren't they?

Are you some hurt Turk trying to hurt me by putting down Holland? If so...whatever floats your boat. Fact remains they're out.

I hope that wasn't directed towards me.

Guus Hiddink and the Russians are gone bye bye too.

We get a Germany - Spain final.

I think I'll be rooting for Germany, although it doesnt really matter for me anymore. Both of em could win and I'd be all right with it, I like Spain too.

Spain is a much better team than I gave credit for. They locked Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko, controlled the tempo of the game. They were clearly better tonight.

I think they will beat Germany.
