Hope you guys are enjoying the heat. Just checked the highway webcams to see conditions, and it has iced over. Looks like I have my answer.

Answer to what?
Fri Jan 18, 2013 1:37 am
To whether conditions are humans-friendly or not I'm guessing.
It's been cold as fuck around here lately (by our standards), being in the 20's at night and high 30's during the day, getting tired of it...Luckily, after that cold period is over, around mid February, then we get about 8 straight months of the same hot/dry weather.

If the road conditions were good or not, if those cameras ice over, its ice hell.

Just sayin', to you 40 degree (F, single digit C) winter coat wearing wussies. I went outside in this, in a t-shirt and basketball shorts, to start the car and bring stuff out. Eyes immediately watering and I could feel them start to freeze, hair got a bit frozen, and nips aren't meant to get so hard. TBH, I can't believe the car even started. This is some piss in the wind and watch it freeze mid-air shit (well, no wind, no wind chill, but still).

Yeah, I saw that on the news, brutal shit going on the northeast.
We're back in the high 60's over here...

I guess all the hot weather slow cooks our brains and when it gets cold we just freeze up. I wonder if we are secretly being eaten by some phenomenon and then put in a fridge to be preserved and just don't know it.

here it was around 80 for all those days, it felt colder than 80, possibly because i froze my ass off outside at work 2-3 weeks before

It hasn't been too shabby this winter here in BC. It's wet and gloomy as usual and gets all dark at 4pm, but somewhat warm for a Canadian winter, around 20-40f. Not bad, not bad at all.
Thu Jan 31, 2013 6:25 am
Last weekend everything iced over down here and I spent about three hours stuck on I77, today just five days later it's 83 degrees. wtf
Also I'm 20 today!

Ordered a pizza for the super bowl. It's going to take 90 minutes to deliver.

Oh, just went to see Django Unchained before the Super Bowl. Oh my god, just flawless. Incredible work by Foxx, even better by DiCaprio. Tarantino... well... just thank you.

So I applied as a web developer for a government company here in the Philippines. Luckily I will have a final interview this coming friday. Now my girlfriend is also working there and her supervisor just told one of the employees that they will not renew my girlfriend's contract if ever they hire me.
Wtf is that? At the first place they should have not consider me for a job if they don't want any of their employees in a relationship.
Thu Feb 07, 2013 1:56 am
Sounds like jealousy to me.
Thu Feb 07, 2013 1:58 am
Her supervisor is also a girl and the other is gay.
Thu Feb 07, 2013 4:13 am
Could the supervisor be a jealous lesbian?
Thu Feb 07, 2013 4:26 am
lol no, she have a husband and kids. We practically leave in the same town just minutes apart from my house. I don't know if she have some issue with my family or something but my mom said she doesn't know her.
Thu Feb 07, 2013 12:31 pm
That's not right. They should have a legal explanation about your girlfriend's contract renewal
Thu Feb 07, 2013 2:30 pm
There's probably all sorts of legal mumbo jumbo* that translates into HR saying "fuck no don't have them both here that's potential trouble for us, think of the paperwork" (this is why most companies want you disclose any office romances) and since you're obviously more valuable to the "company" they said "if we have to choose, dump the bitch, hire the retard."
Or they hate her and it's a great excuse to get rid of her.
