i just saw a short vid of it on xbox 360 and WOW i am impressed. they players jerseys and shorts actually move and the graphics on it are really good. that pic posted above of payton looks so real you can see his muscles and his mouth is open

I am a big fan of Live series. That being said, did you watch this 2k6 video from the all-mighty Xbox 360?

Next-gen consoles kick ass

The graphics are really good, but we havnt seen an INGAME footage of NBA Live 06 for next gen. THe faces of the players in 2k6 dont look as real as they do in live. Lives faces look better cuz they use cyber faces, or i think thats for current gen. But w/e i still think live is going to have better player faces. But the game isnt all about graphics, i mean i would rather have a game with good gameplay and ok graphics (live 06 next gen) than a game that only has good graphics (2k6)

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this, but the player models look so unrealistic. I know Live's graphics aren't flawless but I think they are better than that.

I really like the sweat on the bodies though and the jerseys moving.

i think 2K6 exaggerated too much on the sweat...

plus Live hasn't been releasing their gameplay footage yet...so i dont know whic to judge as the better game...

plus im not really impressed with the faces of 2K6

The 360 stuff is real nice, but from the gameplay vids their's too many similarities to current gen. Some were saying the current gen was just a port from 360 anyways, so... The graphics looked very nice, but they kinda over glossed the players, and it gives them a kinda laminated look. Guys do have towels on the sidelines...

Another thing is the jersey movement, they overdid that too.

The player faces are also a little dissapointing, they seem to have digressed from the current-gen ones, which is surprising. Shaq and Wade do not look right, and Payton looks a little off too.

I hope VC get's to some of the issues as they go on, and I hope their's more than just a graphical improvement in the next gen.

I just got NBA 2k6 yesterday and it's the best sim basketball game I've played this generation. There's nothing that I don't like about it except for alot of alternate jerseys missing, which will be fixed in a roster update anyways. Was gonna buy Live this year till I went to 2ksports.com and watched some vids and saw how realistic the game was. The animations are so great, just the player movements themselves boost the game up alot.

Yea i just spoke to the developers online and they said that would make them too rich..and they only wanna live an upper middle class life....after all..mo' money mo' problems.

Just saw the 24/7 feature of this game in nikebasketball.com where we can cuztomize nike shoes like in NikeID after we ulock it.Plus,the animation is good too..

Been playing 2K6 for a week now and still loving it while my NBA live 06 is in the shelf collecting some dust

live 2006 just seems to unrealistic now with the fss. i like 2k6 right now a lot better.

You've gotta be kidding me.

I'm not bashing Live but there's no way the graphics in that game can come close to 2k6.

Looking at some of the videos on ign/gamespot, and how much they seem to praise the 360 2K6, I'm really excited for it. To be honest, I bought Live this week and I really hate it (thank god for a 7-day full return policy). The gameplay and graphics don't seem to have taken a step up at all. Next year, my first eye is going to be going to 2K6 for sure as far as basketball games.

anyone else think his neck and and head seemed like one stuck together object? (as in like it looks like his head rests right inbetween his shoulders, no neck. Same thing goes to a similar shawn marion picture on gamespot)
