LoL this always happens with Political or Religious threads

People *cough*riot*cough* say some stupid shit, then people like *cough*me*cough* prove them wrong..
Riot, you say you're not a Clinton fan...look at your economy and country stability when he was in office. How old are you? 15? Do you even know shit about the Clinton administration? Were you even able to tie your shoes when he was in office?

I'm pretty sure Riot is older then 15, but I'm gonna back him up here on talking about Clinton.
Bill Clinton did a good job on the economy but he was one of the worst foriegn policy presidents ever. (And I'm almost 19, so I remember)
He did not use intelligence well, he used bombing Afghanistan as a way to sway the population away from paying attention to the fact that he just lied to the entire nation about Monica Lewinski.
He bombed a childrens hospital in Sudan claiming it was a weapons factory.
He bombed the Chiniese Embassey.
When he bombed Bosnia he had absolutly no targets, he just flew planes over the country and bombed, leading to far too many civilian casualties.
People also give Clinton far too much credit for the economy. The huge rise in technology was a major reason for why the economy was booming, and other developments. It really wasn't about what Clinton did, he basically didn't touch the economy and let it flourish. Yes, that was a good thing to do, but it was obvious that it was the right thing to do. He didn't have any master theories that magically fixed the economy or anything like that.
And I hate Bush as much as anyone, but he did inheriet a recession. He has done nothing to get us out of it, but I don't think Clinton would have either.

Finally someone who is anti-Bush at least admits that Bush didn't destroy the US like some people like to think.

Legend, you're a cool guy but don't act like your opinion is always superior to someone elses, just because you believe it.

Well said Indy, but when it comes to the Childrens Hospital in Sudan I stil to this day don't believe it. (Being his fault that is)
One thing people do not realize still is that the President does not have 100% power in decision making. Lots of times..actually most the time its the advisory panel taht makes these decisions and the President is left with taking the heat.
We won't find a single perfect president but I;m sure you can agree that Clinton didn't raise a shitstorm the size of what Bush has... Bush Senior started it in the early 90's and couldn't finish it. It was unfinished business, now his son's here to finish it. Or atleast attempt to...
Bush's approval rating is at 42%, they are so deep into it that they can't pull out.. it's the whole idea of "We're all the way here, why turn back?"
I just wish some people would realize what the Bush Administration is doing around the world.. 8% of the American economy is controlled by Saudi Arabia, oil imports are at an all-time low..hence the reason to make up something called the "War on Terror". Take down countries that post a risk to you economically, not just violently..
Sat Jul 09, 2005 4:58 am
Clinton also came up with a GENIUS social security plan on top of that.

Would you post a picture of a woman getting raped to show people how barbaric the rapist is?
I wouldn't mind if the woman was hot...
Sat Jul 09, 2005 8:16 am
You call that a lecture? You're even dumber than I thought (and believe me, all the useless posts in the past that you have come up with made me think you were a spastic).
And its hard to respect you without that "nlsc team member" badge that you worked so hard to recieve. Whatever happened to that btw
I dont care what your "motives" were for posting the pictures. The fact is they are disturbing and disrespectful. Would you post a picture of a woman getting raped to show people how barbaric the rapist is?
Two totally different cases mate. And as shown by the media, one is more acceptable for visual media exposure. Thanks for calling me a spastic. I appreciate that. And if you think I was disrespectful in any way, I appologise for my actions.
BTW, I asked Andrew to take the member badge away.

Nope, Clinton did that. Now all that's left to destroy is the rest of the globe, and good ol' George W. is right on top of the task. Fear no more, George will make the world his whore.

Yep, "George planned 9/11 so he could attack other countries, he's only fighting for oil, it's all propoganda", etc. etc.

I pity the NLSC that we have to put up with your postings. Why don't you run back to dotorg? While you're at it, take Cloudy along with you.

Of course. You're American. If Adolf Hitler was running for president, you'll all re-elect him in a heartbeat.

Many could think you washed up with that infamous tide of yours.

Heard of the word exaggeration Mr. Dweaver?
If Adolf was bearing a different face, had social skills and came up with a "rid this country of every element that threatens our sovereignty and survival" election propaganda, you bet they'd vote for him.

I'd be surprised if GWB is not a member of the tide.

its sort of like us thinking that the Iraquis would parade the soldiers with flowers and chocolate

Who said all americans thought that? If you live la la land you'd think that.

Think a little bit kid... what kind of info are you really getting about what's going on in th eworld outside your oyster of a country?
Do you really believe that CNN war reports are accurate and unbiased?
Let me tell you something, I was only a few hundred miles south of Serbia when th ebombs were dropping lik eflies, and it sure was not so clear-cut an issue as CNN made it out to be...
Americans are not stupid, they are the hardest working nation on th eplanet and have admirable traits. What is saddening is seeing teenage kids support Bush's nationalism and narrow-mindedness, be pro-war considering civilian losses as a necessary by product of the "war on terror".
Your younger generations are being bred to be the next generation of puppet voters, feeding you on your need for security and freedom. The pure American ideals of the Declaration of Independence have been twisted by word-experts to lead an entire nation into shadow and blindedness.
Remember George Orwell's "Animal Farm" ?
At first, the sign said "All animals are created equal"
Later on, upon change in power, the difference was only subtle: "All animals are created equal, with some animals a little more 'equal' than others".
Change is a slow process, my American friends, and sometimes it's effects are not felt for many years or generations. If none of you stands up for truth now, there is not much chance of anything changing later.
Peace.

Well put, Dweaver
Love the Orwellian reference btw, as I'm a rabid fan of 1984.

The first thing outsiders jump to when someone disagrees with them about politics or the war; that's right, CNN. Maybe if I watched CNN, I'd care. It's strange how you think just because I don't hate Bush and follow all the conspiracies against him, that makes me love the guy or something. He is by far not the perfect president, but he is better than the alternative (Kerry) in my opinion (and without starting yet another Bush-Kerry debate, my reasoning is because I'll never know what Kerry stands for because he switches his decisions around). I am not 'pro-war' in general, but I am for this war. That doesn't make me pro-war in every case. And I hate to see the civilian deaths as much as anyone else. But if we had done nothing, who knows if Saddam would have killed an equal amount of his people? And where are you getting your information from about what American teens think? If you're getting it from just the people on this forum then you are judging us too quickly. The alternative seems to be TV, the same thing you despise. I really don't have a problem if you get your information from TV, but if you are judging the American people solely on TV, and still using that as an argument against others, that is what I have a problem with.

Ahhh... "outsiders", eh? Anyone else had the word "propaganda" come to their mind?
But if we had done nothing, who knows if Saddam would have killed an equal amount of his people?
and who knows if there would be far less casualties? So... let's roll the dice to decide, shall we?

Oh, brother...

let's see... TV , right?
Hmmm... French TV, Greek TV, Arabian TV, Russian TV, African TV, Australian TV... I have access to all via satellite. Do you Americans watch anything else other than your national TV? Just some food for thought.
Plus, I had friends ,Greeks and Serbians who were drafted or volunteered to fight in teh Yugoslavian war, so let's just say I had more insider info that the average couch potato.
All I ask of the younger generation is to abide by the song: "Open mind for a different view..."
Once again, peace.
