2 GOD DAMN FAST, 2 GOD DAMN FURIOUS!

Fri Jun 06, 2003 12:26 am

And too damn good!
Just saw it, and I really liked it... more so than "The Matrix: Refund".
Depends on your tastes really, but I thought it was a pretty good movie. The driving stunts were good, the storyline descent, and the female lead HOOOOTTTT!!!
They should bring back Vin Diesel though, as funny as "Tyrese" was in some of the scenes, I hope a third version of the movie comes out, and big Vin makes a come back.
I'm also wondering how many people are going to die driving home from this movie... really got the blood pumping :D
Anyone else see it?

Fri Jun 06, 2003 10:42 am

I'm goint to see it tonight, i can't wait cause i really liked the first one (despite some less then academy award winning acting :D).

The first movie was really quite a dangerous movie if you drove to the cinema. I remember the trip home with a few mates in my shitty 91 ford laser we were trying to gun everyone off the lights and we were doing ok until will pulled up to this hotted up Suburu WRX. I sat there reving my pathetic little engine and the dude look over at me and then.................................he was gone.

Fri Jun 06, 2003 7:38 pm

hehehe Jonesy you should know better than to take on a WRX :D

I must admitt I drove home hard after the movie (as hard as you can drive a lancer, hehe).

I enjoyed the scene in the EVO where Brian is driving backwards on the highway with his middle finger extended...

saw it, disliked it, car chases aren't even close to the ones in the first... and i am getting a disturbing gay vibe in the paul walker/tyrese friendship...

no rob cohen, no vin diesel and only one guy from the original cast = crappy sequel. obviously the only reason it was even made was to desperately milk out the cash from the dubious public.

2 damn fast, 2 damn furious, 2 damn bad (N)

That's understandable T. I really looked forward to it, and I'm looking past certain things, but like I said before it lacked Vin Diesel.

The car crashes, well the Mustang getting crushed by the truck was nice, but probably can't compare to the ending scene of the first movie. Though there were a couple of other alright crashing scenes. When the Supra crashes during the drags (although it looks bad, it's back later in the movie like nothing happened :D ) and the scene where they fly on to the boat with the car, although far fetched, wasn't bad.

I might go see it tonight again.

Off topic slightly, I went and saw an evo 6 for sale today. White, with white rims and only 12 thousand k's, and so beautiful, I almost dropped my load! It was actually sold, and went for $50 grand AU on the road. :D

hahahahahaha...

well, i didn't like the first one and the second one looks pretty gay, so i'll just stay away from it.

After seeing it yesterday i have a few impressions:

1. Hot cars - the skyline that Paul Walker was driving was at the start was NICE!!! Image

2. Hot women - self explainatory

3. Cool driving scenes

4. WORST ACTING EVER - my god if Paul Walker said "dude", "Bro" or "Cuz" one more time i swear i was gonna throw up. It really showed that big Vin really carried the first one imo.

5. Nice Allen Iverson arm band worn by Tyrese.

What sort of car was the convertable given to Tyreses by the feds, i know it's a Mitsubishi but what type? (I've heard Eclipse Spider or something like that from a car-head mate of mine but i've never heard of one of those.)

A funny thing was that i dragged my GF along to see it and when they first pulled the covers off the evo and that purple convertable my girlfriend pointed to the evo and goes "i can believe they couldn't get a cooler car than a lancer, my sister has one of those and they aren't that fast" I had to explain to her the difference between a normal lancer and a souped up evo.

I wish they would have had an RX8 in the flick - it looked sweet on x-men 2.

I also saw basic with Travolta and Samuel L. and man talk about twists. Not a bad movie but almost too many twists (the last one made the movie though).

Has anyone seen Old school ? Some mates of mine were raving about it but it looks a bit dodgy.

Yeah I wish that car got more of a role in the movie, it kicked the crap out of the Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible... the green eclipse in the first movie was better than the one in the second by far.

As far as the acting goes, I didn't notice it because really it was all about the cars for me dude. Know what I'm saying bro? :D

True dat Cuz, true dat.

I still liked it too bro but i wanna see it on dvd so i can slow down the scene when all those cars come out of the garage to check up some of those rides. My boss has a PT Cruiser (there were a few in the scene i just mentioned) which is pretty nice (looking anyway). They are gutless peices of shit though (exact same motor as the new mini in car that weighs a few tonnes  ) but it is plush as hell inside.

Thu Jun 12, 2003 9:45 pm

Is it EVO7 or EVO8 they used in the movie?

Fri Jun 13, 2003 5:26 pm

Finally going to see it tonight. Can't Wait!!!!

I dunno I've lost count, I think it's the Evo 8 come to think of it... but I could be dead wrong, lost interest in anything beyond the evo 6 :)

LOL I didn't know they had that engine... it's like a 300 pound man trying survive with the heart of a pigeon. But those cars (if you can call them that) are pimpin! I'm picturing one in black, huge chrome rims, dark windows and creamy coloured leather... all else it needs bro is a fluffy dice! :P

LOL good analogy because it accelarates about as fast as a 300 pound man.

My boss's ride has all of the above except for the creamy interior (his is a light black color) but it does have some nice arse warmers in the seats which you turn on when it's cold and it slowly heats up your tushie. The funny thing is my boss is about as far opposite of a pimp as you can be. The last time he had a women in it was probably when the dealer took him for a test drive. :D

I dunno about the movie, I saw the first one, but the machines are wild... They have such a nice body! (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)
