Personally I thought both RAW and Smackdown were really great tributes, though I'm sure there will be some cynical folks who will suggest the WWE was attempting to cash in on the whole affair, as they did after Owen Hart's untimely death. Kudos to everyone for putting on a show, even with heavy hearts.

Smackdown comes on in an hour, so I haven't seen that, but the Raw tribute even had me as a very short time wrestling fan almost choked up, I thought it was amazing to see guys like Big Show so emotional. And I don't mean to be disrespectful at all, but it looks like another wrestler may be heading down a bad path.

Nick 'Eugene' Dinsmore was rushed to the hospital last night in Manchester.

He has since been released from the hospital, sent home and suspended indefinitely. WWE.com will have more details as they become available.

pwinsider.com, I site I visit, says it's talked to an inside source that said "If a guy is rushed to the hosptial and then suspended indefinitely, it is very likely it is exactly what you think it is." :\

Nah, there were rumors that he was supposedly in a bar fight but that was said to be BS. I hope he gets released or something then gets picked up by TNA and get a better gimmick. His wrestling skills have gone to waste by going as a retard.

Agreed, both shows were really well done. Also great to see the end of the Kerwin White gimmick, which was one of the controversial for the sake of being controversial/pushing the envelope for the sake of pushing the envelope gimmicks that the WWE needs to stop doing. It's just a shame it had to come about this way.

I think the situation with Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore also prompted it. It'll be interesting though, especially since there'll supposedly be a zero-tolerance policy and everyone will be treated the same. I wonder if McMahon would be willing to fire his own step-son (and one of his main draws), Triple H, if he were found to be in violation of the policy? I guess he'd have to let his main eventers go if he wants to make good on the promise that he'll come down hard on anyone, but what a coup it would be for TNA to pick up two or three of the WWE's top guys. Though the way the company is doing business these days, you kind of wonder if that's not going to happen eventually anyway.

If anyone's still wondering, here is the report from wwe.com on what happened to Eugene. Basically, he was taking Somas, a prescription medication, to try to keep working despite his injury in order to try not to lose his spot.
