I was watching Good Morning America the other day, and they had a segment about whether the new Harry Potter book was too scary. Then they had people on there saying shit like "My teenage daughter openly cried when she read the ending, my son was also in tears over it"... but they weren't saying it like it was nothing, it was kinda like "oh you know, my teenage kids reacted how any other normal person would. They cried and cried and cried". I dont' really know if people can get more pathetic.

Were their kids on the show? Were they wearing suspenders and big thick glasses? Was their last name Pointdexter?

Umm... if you wanted to konw, a lot of girls I konw cried as they read the last 7 or so chapters. I've only just finished it and it really isn't that sad... not sad enough to make you cry....

Great read -- makes me want to go out and buy the seventh right-away.

I really don't know what to think about whether Snape is good or bad, or if Harry will come back. I'm not going to waste my time in speculation when I'll just find out when the next one comes out.

Tue Jul 26, 2005 4:20 am

Hehe, I wish I could buy the seventh one right now, from what I read she won't even commence writing it for quite a few months.

What? Ofcourse Snape is a bitch, he killed Dumbledore?! How can he be good? It's quite clear he's rejoined the dark side. I hope Harry kills him fashionabley (sp?).

I really don't think Harry, or for that matter Hermione or Ron will return to Hogwarts. I think it's going to be a sort of journey through the magical world to find the remaining 4 (or so we're told/assume) Horcruxes of Voldemort. Then the showdown will probably close off the Harry Potter series.

I'm still all hyped up for the 7th book. I should never have begun reading the series before all the books were released. I managed to do it with Kill Bill & Lord Of The Rings.

Loved the book, just finished it. Can't wait for the seventh book to come out :D

havn`t read any of poters book, and never have saw the movies....
my old classmate she just creaped me out...when she was talking about harry poter...she was saying those magic words or what do they have there and shaking....

It will be a while before the 7th comes out...

Snape is good, I bet you... he only had to protect Malfoy against Dumbledore... or it was planned...

Malfoy will fight with Harry against that evil guy...

Dumbledore wasn't going to do anything to Malfoy. As bad as Malfoy's intentions were, Dumbledore wouldn't have harmed him for shit.

Malfoy should be humped in the arse by Kreacher.

Tue Jul 26, 2005 7:27 pm

Malfoy was too scared to do anything. But Snape promised to Malfoy's mom, if i'm not mistaken, that if Malfoy was unable to complete the deed would he do it for him and Snape said, "I will." So even if Dumbledore wasn't going to do anything... Snape had to kill him.

Which does really make me need to reconsider, was it planned or not... maybe Snape is an asshole.

Tue Jul 26, 2005 7:57 pm

Thanks for that, now I dont need to waste time reading the book or watching the movie :)

I don't think the promise he made to Malfoy's mother was regarding him completeing Malfoy's task. I think it was about protecting him. So if harm were to come to Malfoy, Snape would have to protect him because of the promise. But there was no harm coming to him?

If people say yeah but Voldemort would've had his head for not being able to kill Dumbledore, then Snape should've just taken it up with Voldemort. :x

No one questions Voldermort!!! lol

If you read the end of chapter 2, there are 3 parts to the promise... I think it is very vague as to lead onto the debate of whether Snape is good or bad.. only time will tell. I do think he is good though.
