USB freezes My Cpu

If I want to update the songs on my Mp3 I need to plug it in to the usb connection but once i do connect it the computer freezes right away. The only way to get the computer working again is by using the restart button the tower. :cry:

please help me

Make sure you have all teh correct drivers installed.

ive tried installing and reinstalling the software for my mp3 player but nothin changes.

make sure you ctr,alt,delete all programs except sys tray and explorer.if that doesnt work post your specs

Does it freeze up when you plug in other devices? (printer, Scanner, Gamepad, etc)

Are your USB's on your mobo or a pci port?
