MLB 2K9 - Any idea how to open these archives?

Postby Dee4Three on Sat Mar 06, 2021 2:44 am

Hi all,

I have MLB 2K9 for the PS3 (And just ordered it for the PC), however at the moment I am playing it on the PS3 emulator RPCS3.

One thing that drives me nuts about this game is the ball showing in the strike zone when you are selecting your pitch/before you actually pitch. I'd like to break into the games archives and make the ball transparent so it doesn't show where I am pitching (It destroys human vs human gameplay, my brother and I can't pitch to eachother and throw the other one off because it shows exactly where we are pitching it.

This is what the game archives look like (Similar to the new NBA 2Ks)

Any idea how I could extract from these archives? Winzip and 7Zip do not work, and I tried some of the new NBA 2K explorer tools and they don't work either.

Sorry, they just say "archive"

Looks like the same setup as the new 2Ks for PC

you need some kind of 2K explorer or console.
skilled dev people like looyh or gregkwaste could probably succeed to open it (its the same kind of files on 2K14 PS4/XB1)

Is there no way to open archives with the 2k explorer like the last years?
