Computer Memory question

Tue Jul 19, 2005 3:03 pm

I have:

Crucial 768 MB DDR Memory PC2100 speed.

I want:

1 Gb of DDR PC3200 speed.

My choices are:

Crucial
Kingston
Corsair

Would I see any improvement going from 768 PC2100 to 1024 PC3200??

I have an Asus A7N8X and XP2500+ barton core.

Please help me.

Ps. Newegg has a great special offer going on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820145440
a pair of corsair for less than $80.

Corsair is the best, but I have Kingston. Keep in mind though, if you ever want to upgrade your memory (meaning get a new stick), I know at least with Kingston that you can't mix and match.

Rant: The fact that you can't mix and match with Kingston sucks, because the place I got my computer from (online) jipped me by only giving me 256mb instead of 512, but you can only report any problems like that within 7 days. I have a 3 year warranty, but I can only report problems within 7 days. :( And I realized they jip me in like a month. By the way, never buy from ibuypower.com
