Just complete the sentence: You know its the 2000's when:

-You can divorce your parents
-You can surf the internet on your fridge
-You can sue someone over something that was your fault
-Your car is smarter then you are
-You'd rather play online poker then the real deal

- Mobile phones are a standard accessory for teenagers

-You have another world accessibly with the help of the internet.
-You can contact someone half way across the world in a split second.
-You can be apart of large communities with people all around the planet (like this one)
-You can have all your movies, TV shows and music in your pocket.

You've been able to sue people in restitution for a contract breach that was your fault for ages =p

that case was weird though: it was like the coffee was hotter than the standard McD's coffee which is why she won because they were negligent in that sense.

did you ever hear about the guy who bought a new RV, then took it out on a trip, put cruise control on and went to the bathroom. he sued the company who sold it to him cause the drivers manual did not say you had to stay at the wheel with the cruise control on, and that guy won also.


point is, the courts are paying people for being stupid and lacking any common sense

I tried it twice in a row to prove a point to someone. The results didnt match.

I suppose it's a bit of fun for anyone with a bit of money to burn, especially if it's not their money. Mind you, the one that tests your compatibility with your significant other might be accurate. If they're the kind of person who would seriously question a relationship over a novelty or go so far as to end the relationship, I'd suggest they're not the person for you.

they amended shit like that in Aus.

Now you need at least 5% permanent injury before you can claim anything other than loss of income and medical damages.
