Bball-Related Question for Americans or others who can help

Postby The X on Thu Jul 21, 2005 11:35 pm

hey American people....

I'm gonna be in Hawaii, LA, San Diego, Tijuana and Vegas this December....the reason for this thread is to ask the best way to get NBA/NCAA tickets at the best price and decent seats?!?

I know I could risk it with scalpers, but I'll be a n00b in the States so don't want to be screwed....

any tips and pointers guys?!?

also, on a side issue, is there any must-go places (aside from the obvious)? what about best hot dog in LA?

Umm tickets are hard to get, I usually get them from the Clippers site thats the easiest and safest way.

http://www.nba.com/clippers/tickets/arena.html

Places to go, umm well why not make a suprise visit to Compton Im sure they'll enjoy the company. Nah umm theirs alotta places to visit and it really depends on your preference, in December their might be alot of tours(music) going on, so maybe you should try and get some concert tickets booked specially if one of your favourite acts are performing. Try and take a stroll on the walk of fame(must do for tourists) and umm visit some of the parks, I recommend you getting a brochure or a city guide before you come here or go online and search for stuff you'd like to do in LA. If you wanna shoot some hoops theirs alotta parks although it'll be hard finding a spot, but never say never.

Here are some sites you can check out, not alotta detail but brief info.

And if your looking for some ass then just go to any coffee shop and you'll be gifted with it soon, just make sure you dont bust your cash all in Vegas(make it your last stop).

I'm doing vegas last....and I'm not a huge gambler....I have philosophy of never gamble what you can't afford to lose....I"ll have a splurge, but won't go too crazy I'd say....

as for Maui Invitational, have nixed Maui off my list as the additional cost of extra flight and accommodation was a bit too much....probably maybe catch a UCLA or UNLV game....but we'll see....

as for Lakers/Clippers, I don't care who I go to see, hopefully against a good team....

My parents hate gambling, and I always push them to try their luck.
It's funny, I annoy them 90% of the trip "come on, just a little money" things like that, and they always comply.

The strange thing is, both times we've done it, they've won.
70$ in the Luxor at Vegas, and nearly 600$ at the casino in a Royal Caribbean Cruise. :D

It's funny when my parents win because then they have to walk around with a huge cup of quarters, and they rather give it to me then lug them around. :D
