I know ceekay tried to tell me how to improve the quality of my work, but I'm still kind of lost. I don't know exactly how to improve the quality after I finish with my work. Can someone give me a thorough explanation on how to do this? Thanks.

I'm sure you can find something in the stickied tutorials..
Preparation will only take you so far. After that you've got to take a few leaps of faith.
