Who'd be the best coach and the worst coach in NBA players?

Sun Aug 30, 2015 3:50 am

This is like who would you prefer as an NBA coach between the players that have played in the NBA and who you think would be the worst coach (make sure you rank the players from 1-5 (One being the best coach and Five being the worst coach) and explain why when answering):

1. Who would you prefer as the best coach between these guys from the 09-10 Celtics team (and who would be the worst coach)? Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Michael Finley or Kevin Garnett?

2. Who would you prefer as the best coach between these guys from the 03-04 Pistons team (and who would be the worst coach)? Chauncey Billups, Darko Milicic, Mehmet Okur, Ben Wallace or Rasheed Wallace?

3. Who would you prefer as the best coach between these guys from the 07-08 Rockets team (and who would be the worst coach)? Kyle Lowry, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Luis Scola or Aaron Brooks?

4. Who would you prefer as the best coach between these guys from the 12-13 Bulls team (and who would be the worst coach)? Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Vladimir Radmanovic, Marco Bellineli or Luol Deng?

5. Who would you prefer as the best coach between these guys from the current Mavericks team (and who would be the worst coach)? Dirk Nowitski, Deron Williams, Zaza Pachulia, Tyson Chandler or Amar'e Stoudamire?

6. Who would you prefer as the best coach between these guys from the current Knicks team (and who would be the worst coach)? Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, Sasha Vujacic, Jose Calderon or Aaron Afflalo?

You can make your own questions like this too.

How I rank for the 6 Qs:

09-10 Boston Celtics:

1. Paul Pierce (Really high basketball IQ)
2. Ray Allen (High basketball IQ)
3. Michael Finley (He'd be alright, but mediocre)
4. Rajon Rondo (Stubborn player)
5. Kevin Garnett (Selfish player and will beat up his players like they don't wanna learn from them)

03-04 Detroit Pistons:

1. Chauncey Billups (PG with high basketball IQ)
2. Mehmet Okur (Great basketball IQ, not as high as Billups)
3. Ben Wallace (Has Mediocrity as a coach)
4. Darko Milicic (Beats up his players, but would make better than one certain player)
5. Rasheed Wallace (Made a terrible assistant for Mo Cheeks because he beat up his players in the 13-14 season)

07-08 Houston Rockets:

1. Aaron Brooks (Great Basketball IQ)
2. Kyle Lowry (Tied with Aaron Brooks)
3. Tracy McGrady (Mediocre)
4. Luis Scola (Beats his players)
5. Yao Ming (Intimidating)

12-13 Chicago Bulls:

1. Derrick Rose (High Basketball IQ)
2. Jimmy Butler (Great skill and high basketball IQ)
3. Luol Deng (Helps all the young players when they make mistakes)
4. Marco Bellineli (Alright as a coach)
5. Vladimir Radmanovic (Low Ego)

Dallas Mavericks:

1. Deron Williams (High basketball IQ)
2. Dirk Nowitzki (High basketball IQ)
3. Zaza Pachulia (Great basketball skill, mediocre IQ)
4. Tyson Chandler (He'd do alright)
5. Amar'e Stoudamire (He'd beat up his players)

New York Knicks:

1. Jose Calderon (Undrafted, but great IQ)
2. Kristaps Porzingis (I know he hasn't played a minute, but would be a great big coach)
3. Aaron Afflalo (Great IQ)
4. Sasha Vujacic (Mediocre)
5. Carmelo Anthony (He'd beat up his players)

Are you serious? I'll take Darko and Radmanovic as exaples, because I know them very good.
Darko is drinking beer with his tatoos. He triee kick boxing

For Radmanovic, there is an interesting story.
It was World cup 2002. Semifinals. Thr game is tight. Our coach calls timeout. Everyone is listening, except Radmanovic. Do you know what he was doing: EATING BANANA. Coach suspended him, made him go to audience. Vladimir didn't played finals, but we still won.

Sorry to pick at your logic but how do you think a 19 year old in Zinger would make a good coach?

I meant for his future.

Future in 20 years? Or even more.
Listen, you are a guy with HUGE imagination. It is ok that you post things like this, but whatever you post, it's not realistic at all. Like Sam Dekker as number 1 pick, list of guys who will come to NBA from Europe, now you're all about players who will become coaches. Who the hell cares about that? Probably no one of these guys will ever become coach, and especially Kristaps who didn't even played in NBA, but you say he will be great coach. Think before you write.

It's hard to imagine what type of coach zinger could be when we don't even know type of player he is going to be.

There was no one who said Jason Kidd will be a good coach before his first training camp and probably no one said it till after he was in the league about 10 years

I'll play...

1. 09-10 Celtics
worst: Rondo, because he is possibly the most introverted of the bunch.
best: Allen, He is a terrific glue guy, has a great feel for the game. Those qualities make for good coaches I think/

2. 03-04 Pistons
worst: Ben Wallace, was a defensive beast, not much offensive IQ.
best: Billups, good head for the game. cool under pressure.

3. 07-08 Rockets
worst: Kyle Lowry, only because I think he can be the most unstable of this bunch.
best: Luis Scola, I think the workman ethic and being always well adjusted to teams he is on means he is the most flexible of the bunch.

4. 12-13 Bulls
worst: Vladimir Radmanovic, not a very well rounded player. Not a play maker either. Probably not the best with X and Os
best: Butler, best two way guy. Probably has a head for coaching.

5. current Mavericks
worst: Tyson Chandler, I don't think a mostly one way player will make a good coach. Also, he is no longer with the Mavs.
best: Dirk, great at adjusting, probably has the best attitude as well.

6. current Knicks
worst: Sasha Vujacic, made a living shooting 3s, not much else. Probably won't be good with X and Os like former teammate Radman.
best: Jose Calderon, PGs being floor generals usually make the easiest transition to coach.
