Blame Chauncey Billups.
“I would egg on referees to give Rasheed a technical. Because until he got a tech, he was one of the most unfocused players I ever played with. But once he got a technical, I don’t care what coach he’s playin for, I’m sayin, throw it to ‘Sheed. Ain’t no more play calls.”
Also, seems only appropriate that the story is shared on the day that the 2004 Pistons are announced as one of the new historical teams in NBA 2K16.

This was a fun team to watch since they were the polar opposite of the Steve Nash Suns. They mauled teams defensively and Sheed was probably one of the most underrated players of that era. I can see what Chauncey means by him not being focused sometimes but when he was locked in, he was phenomenal. I really wish he posted up more towards the end of his career rather then rely on his jump shot.
