Good to see my nets kick celtics ass again for the 8th straight time without Kmart, rogers, harris, and veal and in boston. I feel soo good. Pierce attempted 32 shots and turned it over 8 times!!! Jason kidd said he likes coming to boston. :D

(Mike Davis??)

Do you have a question?

Paul also managed 27 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

When Boston had Antoine Walker they couldn't beat the Nets.

New Jersey is a sound team people, their is no shame in losing to them, although it of course sucks, but losing to them and being so early, I am not sweating.

Boston is pulling together some young players like Marcus Banks, Kedrick Brown and Jiri Welsch, using Vin Baker, Mike James, Jumaine Jones and Raef LaFrentz, all new to the rotation, plus they are missing Eric Williams, an important player.

I am not worried, this team is coming along just fine.

Marcus Banks took Kidd to the basket several times and looked very quick.

Kmart and Aaron Williams are the same thing, except Williams is quiet and has a jumpshot, you didn't miss Kmart, because he's nothing much.

Who's veal?

You know thug you just do this because I get pissed, this is called FLAMING pal, something you are allowed to do because you are you I guess.

That loss against the Nets is not that bad knowing Boston don't have anyone who motivates the players to play hard there anymore.

Jumaine was tore up in a practice awhile back.

His knee is bad, but the dude is tough, I want him to give up the three-ball and get down low and bang around with the forwards.

He has some expirience for being 24-years-old.

My posts have nothing to do with you. You think anyone who says something bad about boston celtics and paul peirce is flaming you? I thought i already pm'd you about your attitude on this forum? :? . Why are you trying to incite more heated discussions with people here?

BTW..these are rhetorical questions.

This is nasty and inciting, I have made myself very here, I am going to be incited by this, I will not and do not believe you do not direct this toward me at least in part.

Look I am ready to give up any flames, but I do not believe I start them.
People press buttons and watch what happens.

I could really use a truce here, what do say thug, don't bash in Paul Pierce's brains, I will watch what I say about your players.

I actually agree with old school fool for once, you are really pissing me off, posting the exact same topic except with different names complaining about how bad this player is and how stupid the league is, and praise paul pierce for he's my god. Just relax, if you don't like the league, then don't watch it. Sounds simple but it works. Thanks, it's off my chest.

I appreciate and understand your point of view guys, but please leave the moderating to the moderators.

Mike is entitled to his own opinions, positive or negative. Anyone is free to agree or disagree with his opinions, and discuss the topic at hand.

However, I must disagree with Mike re: flaming in this thread. I don't consider any of the on-topic remarks here flames, simply opinions. Obviously, we're not going to like everyone's opinions, and there isn't anything worse here than what is directed at a lot of Laker fans. Let's not confuse simply posting negative things about a team or player with flaming.

Again, everyone has the right to post their opinions, positive or negative. A flame war involves personal attacks, trading of insults, and arguments that go beyond the topic. Let's not through around accusations, and let's not use phrases such as these:

Unlike many people may think, I am a big fan of the NBA, I recently paid over $170 for the League Pass, I watch a bit of all the games each night.

I watch the hype on these boards and from the mouths of the tv people and I state my opinion.

I have suggested Michael Finley and others are overrated.

I have tried to explain how Paul Pierce is as good as Tracy McGrady.

I have pointed how the league is really looking poorish.

I have not bashed posters, I have posted alot of negative things lately and this is not an accident.

Hype surrounding certain players is gross and ugly.

I am not here to go along with everyone loving and hating what they think is okay to do so.

Everyone bashes Kobe and it's en vogue to do so, but I don't play follow the leader and do this and talk about all the hyped up players like LeBron all the time.

I have talked about Kobe, LeBron and I have talked about everything else.

I honestly love the NBA and watch it as much or more than any person involved in this forum. I am a person who annoys people who do not understand where I am coming from.

If you believe I am off base, then say so, but make sense.

I may seem like a know everything or something, but I have lots to say. It's not always about right or wrong, I just believe in my opinion.

If you see I posted something, don't bother reading it.

I really just want to get some serious more in depth discussions going, that's it. I can't talk about Kobe, GP, Shaq and the Mailman being with the Lakers, that bandwagon is overloaded already, LeBron and Carmelo bore the heck out of me, they may great one day, but impact and wins are more interesting to me. The Spurs vs. Dallas and Spurs vs. Lakers, those are ballgames. Not Cleveland vs. Denver, if you want to see that and talk about it, that's fine, but to me it's just hype at this point.

Excuse me for being very involved, I have a job sitting right in front of computer for only about 3 hours per day most of the time, I have time for posting.

No person in this forum knows me as a person and honestly if you have read my posts and are mad, that's because you like the players I am talking about. I don't ever do the same thing over different players or whatever.

If I hurt somebody's feelings or offended someone, it's not what I am doing, I only talk about NBA players and teams and nothing else.

I like Paul Pierce, but I do not treat him like a god, I stick up for him the same as anyone sticks up for their players.

Look at yourself and some of your posts, how deep are they, if you want to take cheap shots and make quick comments, that's one way to do it.
I usually add more depth, maybe it never makes sense to some people, but it's what I think.

i gotta admit for the most part im with paul on this, everyone has his opinions and favourite players, so has he(even though pierce aint no tmac or kobe yet  ,though tmac aint tmac either for the moment).
And he might sound quite negative, but he has some valid points and gives reasons why he says them(for example i dont agree with the finley thing but i understand and respect his opinion), some thing are just too hyped up lately and i understand the frustration. I just think paul has the problem of being a little too direct at times

Mike how can we have truce when we're not at war? It's not against the rules for me to bash any player's brains in...and it isn't for you(reference your jason kidd thread). The problem is arguments and flames drected at other forum members..thats where the truce should begin. Dont take everything people say here as an excuse for you to argue...learn to be a little more at peace and less negative.

When you're warned to end a discussion its probably because its an unhealthy and an inciting one. Rather than look to argue with a moderator why he shouldn't tell you anything...just ignore it and move on.

I think Paul Pierce the Truth is a good contributer to the NBA talk, he post the most topics there (tough the most is about that a specific players the he think sucks).

BTW: You have started a topic which called "Look how ugly this league has become" Ironicly your GOD Paul Pierce (the player) is the king in turnovers, if I'm not mistaken he is dropping the ball more than anyone else in the league

He is pushing it to hard, he doesn't have much help scoring right now and Boston is using an up tempo style of play. He really needs trust others with the ball more. He feels so much pressure, it will ease off later when he's not pushing the issue so much.

Vin Baker is the only starter in double figures scoring, Eric Williams is getting 11.3 per game over 3 games off the bench. Paul needs to let things come more naturally and back down sometimes.

I am not worried, I don't know how good they will be this year, but I am looking forward to next few seasons with Paul, Marcus Banks, Kedrick Brown, Raef LaFrentz and some future players from the Draft. Kendrick Perkins is as big as Shaq almost, maybe he might come along someday.
He is the fourth youngest player in the NBA right now at 19 today.

Pierce is the man I must root for, I have to stand by him, but 5.5 turnovers is sick. That would 450 for the year.

He is not my god, that is really not close to how I look at him.

This is just an observation....but you're being a might hypocritical, Mike. Someone takes a cheap jab at a player on the Celtis, and it's flaming, even though all you've done is bash players for the past few weeks, even though you state legitimate points...it's still the same thing...you hate the hype surrounding LeBron, yet you have the Lebron's coming to Boston picture in your avatar, and you will stick by your opinions no matter what, which means that you don't give anyone else's opinions any merit...

Apparently you're going against NBA pop culture...*shrug* each to his own. :)

And on another note, don't the Celtics have one of the better records in the league? Could be wrong, and I don't feel like checking it...and how come no one's talking about the Sonics? Anyone see Barry's fastbreak on Friday night? That was sick! Anyways...I'm gonna go to bed, just thought I'd pop in for a second...
