i see this as a cap-space trade...too bad that phx gave Bo away but seems like Joe Johnson will be getting more time at sg/sf spot and Gugliotta splits the minutes @ C and PF spot!

that was what Memphis needed, some big guys....thats what they wanted and they get now. They actually became a pretty talented team, only they need some more veteran experience but I think Jerry West just looks in the Future :P

Good trade for memphis (y),about the suns im not too sure, though they probably made place for stoudemire to play the entire game(if he already didnt but at times he was a little unconsistent but will be expected to make solid contributions imho), bo brings some defensive talent so thats good for memphis but a shame to the suns but they got an solid backup pg instead, so i guess a good trade for both(but who is gonna play C with the suns?).

Maybe Amare will move up to C, and Either Googs or Zarko Cabarkapa will start. :o

Hopefully Zarko will get more time because of this trade. (Y)(Y)

I was talking with my friend from phx about this and he said that he has heard rumors about a lineup like this:
C-Amare
PF-Googs
SF-Marion
SG-Penny
PG-Marbs

and few months after the start of the season they may start Zarko(depends how he plays in the nba)so they can have "Twin Towers"

yeah i think they should start Zarko he's a great three pointe shooter and i'm sure he'll do a much better job than Tsakalidis did when he was in PHX....

It was a steal for Memphis... How could Phoenix get rid of Tsakalidis? Oh man... What a waste... Now they don't have any real center... Cabarkapa...? Dunno... He's a tweener I think...

Tales it's bloody obvious that Pheonix pulled the trigger on this trade because they wanted some height in the back court... LOL!
As for the centre position... Dalibor Bagaric is available!! (y)
I think they still might have Jake Voskul too?

zarko would turn into road kill if he played center

voskhul, williams, archibald is a decent 3 headed monster. that's 18 fouls right there. phoenix is asking much from the C position anyway

bad move for brevin knight, playing behind marbury gettin 8 mins a game, not good for a player who'z good enough to start
- B.Knight = second best rookie in '98

Brevin Knight = undersized PG who can't shot despite having good D but that isn't enough nowadays

U must of forgot that Bibby, Jamison, VC, J-Dub, Hughes, Dirk, Pierce, Bonzi, Ricky Davis, and even T. Lue came into the league in '98.

Maybe im reading this wrong but ur saying he is 2nd best among these players  (N) :? :scold:

he probably didnt mean the best player but had the second best season of all the rookies that year(though im not sure if anyone besides vince had a great rookie season, but i assume pierce did), but i still remember an article about him, DA and Cedric Henderson in a magazine and brevin was praised for his pass first mentality and D i think.

actually, those players U just mentiond, came in the league in the 1998/99 season, while Brevin Knight had his rookie season in 1997/98. But I think there were better players then Brevin Knight. Ron Mercer, Antonio Daniels, Keith Van Horn to name a few

First off this is a great trade for both teams, Memphis got bigger and the suns payroll gets smaller after next year which is what they wont most.
Next year Tom Gugliotta wont be on the payroll for anything like his $11million this year. Brevin Knight if on the suns team next year wont be getting $5million and imo next year Phoenix will buyout the remaining year of Cezary Trybanski's contract also they got rid of Bo Outlaw who would of made $11million over the next two years and taken minutes away from Amare. For Memphis they got Bo and jake two big men that can fill it in and can play defence + got Knights off the team to make way for Earl Watson and rookie Troy Bell.

Brevin Knight = undersized PG who can't shot despite having good D but that isn't enough nowadays
