2003/2004 Breakout Players

What player do you think will have a pretty good season coming up? I don't mean people like Kobe, Iverson or TMac, I mean people who weren't just crazy good last season. I like Troy Hudson for this season, he went off in the playoffs and I think that he'll continue that this season.

well baron davis is bound to have a rebound season, and scottie pippen can also maybe rebound (statistically that is). lamar odom and nve too, and pau gasol might have a bigger breakout year.
but if you're talking about players that have never been 'good' before, then heres my list:
1. andei kirilenko -- he is going to get some big time starter minutes now. his defense is incredible (2 blocks, 1.5 steals per game per 28 minutes!) and his offense seems to be on cue judging from the euros in which he averaged about the same as pau who is a legit nba scorer.
2. tryonn lue -- i dont like him, but he's the only starting pg orlando has, and even if he wont be the one controlling the ball and running the plays as much as a normal pg does he is still playing with tracy mcgrady and he will be getting more minutes. not to mention juwan howard and drew gooden are legit post scorers, and their are some good wingers in orlando that can hit the 3 if he can penetrate well.
3. rodney white -- this guy is showing me immense flashes of brilliance. denver is looking like a beautiful 'build' of a future contender to me:

soooooooo nice on opaper. anyway, back to topic, rodney white, flashes of brilliance, 6'9 and can play the sg. wowza
4. tyson chandler/eddie curry/jamal crawford -- one of these three is going to improve in leaps, maybe all three.
5. mike dunleavy -- they showed a lot of confidence in him trading jamison, he better imprvoe
6. kwame brown/eddie griffin/jonathan bender -- very, very, very iffy
7. nikoz schistlivi -- i really like the potential for this guy, he is still young, and still learning though

i think this is the year for J-Richardson..some other canadiates,Tskitivkili,Dunleavy,Wilcox,Dixon

My money's on Eddy Curry. He has the potential to become the Shaq of the East. He's got size, all he needs now is the game. I'd like to see him develop a better arsenal than Shaq though. I'll also bet that Chandler and Crawford will continue to improve now that they'll be getting some more PT.
I think this is going to be an important year for Kwame Brown. The disappointment of his first two years has been put down to the Jordan Regime. If he's given plenty of opportunities to redeem himself this year and still shows no signs of improvement, I'd say it will be the first real sign of him being a bust. By all means write off his first two seasons as the result of the Jordan Regime, but they can't fall back on that excuse anymore. Both Kwame and the Wizards have something to prove this season.

I'd say Mike Dunleavy, seeing as he was third pick mostly for his potential and he's showed flashes of brilliance near the end of the season.
Andrei Kirilenko, with Malone and Stockton gone, is going to be a go-to guy on a rebuilding team. This is the perfect situation for a breakthrough season.
After seeing the bulked-up Yao Ming in action, I believe (or hope) he's going to play a lot more physical this year and average a solid double-double.

Andrei Kirilenko. should've been 6th man of the year the last 2 years, now starting, he could maybe become as good as nowitzki

I expect Amare Stoudemire to play big next season, a 20, 10 and 3 player maybe.
Kwame Brown should start breaking out.....but I also tought that last year...so I dunno
Jason Richardson improved last year....and now that Tawn is gone, he may be the 1st offensive option....excpect him with 20ppg

Andrei Kirilenko and Kwame Brown...also look out for Darius to be better than last year but it won't be a breakout for him!

after that summer league i hope John Salmons will get more time 2 play...i no ha can make it

I'm still hoping they would let zach randolph start at portland this season, he has lots of talent and has everything to become a star, but he is stuck behind wells and sheed
