i know this is late for this topic, but i was watching the 2003 all star tape and b4 that i watched the 2002, the 2003 was very dull, u coulnt see the croud and it seemed as though they playes with no crowd,
the farns either dint cheer enouph or there was no mic on the areana.

make sure u never have it in atlanta again, last year it was good, bright fans screeming now dull!

well all stars are usually dull... but this one was *really* dull

the only all star game i remember watching and enyojing it was the one in Washington(2000 i think)

2000 was in Oakland, which is my favorite. 2001 was in Washington..I also like the 2002 in Phily with Kobe as mvp (stupid fans  )

outside of the jordan arse licking, i thought the 2003 all star game was good: i'm glad the game was close- it was a treat to watch the tops stars in one game battling it out in the end.

heck there was even the controversy of the eastern conf players complaining about not getting enough PT.

there weren't as many spectacular dunks like last year (but i sure got my fill in the dunk contest), but it wasn't a blowout like most of the all star games are

I like the one in...I think it was Washington...where the East made that huge comeback and AI was MVP.

Then there was '98 at MSG. That was really good too besides the fact that Kobe, though he provided some highlighs, didn't deserve to start, let alone even be in the game. It was a great performance by MJ.

This year's in Atlanta will certainly go down as one of the best in history, mostly due to it being MJ's last, and it was also a great game. The good thing about MJ when he's in an all-star game, the tempo is very much like a regular season game. It's not a bunch of fast breaks. I noticed when he was out, that the game changed so much, in a bad way. There was no defense at all. His shot was also very memorable. Even though the East didn't win, I was so happy when he hit that fadeaway off of Marion.

yeh the actual game was good, but to watch it on espn was bad, as i said b4, there waws no light on the crowd, the light that was on the court was dull, and it made it seem s though they were playing with no crowd

I don't think I could pick a favourite game. But if you're strictly comparing 2002 and 2003, it can be summed up as follows.

2003 if you like or at least don't mind Michael Jordan
2002 if you hate or at least dislike Michael Jordan

Or perhaps more accurately, it just comes down to your personal preference. Personally, I enjoyed both. Though I admit, I often enjoy games that don't feature Michael Jordan or the Bulls, since I can just enjoy the game as a fan of basketball.

No no the one where Pippen got MVP in his red shoes. Go Pip!! :D

That was a good game, but those shoes were...uh...not really Pip's career highlight. :) Fortunately, MVP trophies outshine shoes.
