Phoenix guard Jason Richardson wants to be the only player to have ever won both the NBA slam dunk competition and the three point shootout, the Arizona Republic is reporting.
"Hopefully. I can be the first one to do it," Richardson said. "That shows a lot about my game, that I'm not just a dunker."
Richardson made a career-high 40.6 percent of his 3-pointers last season but bumped that to an NBA-best 48.5 clip this season.
"I would definitely do it," Richardson said of the 3-point contest. "I haven't done it since high school. Jordan was the first one to do it (enter both contests). Hopefully, I won't do it too bad like he did."
