So now that LeBron's on, how will the Cavs' lineup turn out?

Fri May 23, 2003 6:57 pm

C - Ilgauskas
PF - Boozer
SF - Davis
SG - Wagner
PG - LeLe

or something else?

Fri May 23, 2003 7:37 pm

I would start Lebron James ahead of LeLe.

:P

Oh... and they are still going suck ass...

Fri May 23, 2003 8:53 pm

WTF is LeLe?

LeBron James I think.

C - Ilgauskas
PF - Boozer
SF - Davis
SG - Wagner
PG - LeLe

I think they will start-

C-Ilgauskas
PF-Boozer
SF-James
SG-Davis
PG-Wagner

James, Davis and Wagner can all handle the ball so you don't need a true point.

Wagner may develop into a Stevie Franchise type player. So he could take over the point duties. But if he doesn't, liek you said, Davis and James can both handle the ball well, so thats not an issue.

Fri May 23, 2003 11:25 pm

let's hope not... i know Stevie's got great stats, but really what exactly did he do for the Rockets. never in the playoffs.....not once

Fri May 23, 2003 11:38 pm

Mine would be :) :

C: Zydrunas Ilgauskas
PF: Darius Miles (only because i LOVE him! :P )
SF: Ricky Davis
SG: Lebron James
PG: DaJuan Wagner

C Doleac
PF Boozer
SF James
SG Davis
PG Ilgauskas

I'd have to agree with Clinton's.

But they have to do something about darius...he just doesn't fit into the picture anymore.

Sat May 24, 2003 3:51 am

Clinton's looks like the most obvious. Hopefully for Cleveland Miles can turn into a good 6th man, he's versatile enough for it. If not, they'd be best off just letting him go after his rookie contract :P

Sat May 24, 2003 12:17 pm

Another vote for Clinton's lineup. On the subject of Miles, he needs to bulk up/improve his jumpshot (preferably both), else he's useless as a backup and trade bait alike.

C Doleac
PF Boozer
SF James
SG Davis
PG Ilgauskas

Don't be stupid Stevan. That lineup would never work, Michael Doleac plays for the Knicks now. Otherwise fine.

i agree, and with 3 swingmen, someone has to go, most likely it'll be darius because davis was playing pretty well this year.

Sat May 24, 2003 7:23 pm

LOL Andrew ssshhh!!!
that sounded a little off but I couldn't put my finger on it. Damn you Doleac!!

:P

Sat May 24, 2003 8:54 pm

You could always have Chris Mihm at centre :P

Sat May 24, 2003 10:02 pm

or diop

Sun May 25, 2003 2:13 am

I'd agree with Tales' lineup... Wagner can easily play a 2-guard, Iverson did it...

King James should play at the point this season...

cav's

Sun May 25, 2003 6:29 am

clinton's lineup... but i bet 100$ ricky davis handles the ball in the set offense the most... unless something drastic occurs with van gundy coming in. once lebron gets more comfy though... he's going to destroy moving the ball. just think of the no look alley-oop pass from the baseline he did in one of those ESPN televised games (i forget which one). insane.

with boozer, they start to look a little more like a younger/more athletic Orlando (once lebron matures/gets going/etc. obviously). i just wonder how Z is going to fit into the chemistry when you got basically 3 scorers on the floor, boozer and him. he's a great center but he demands a lot of looks in the post (even though he shot fairly bad last year for a center.).

they should trade him to chicago for Eddie Curry so they can have the ultimate G-unit. haha... (thats a half joke. they wont trade curry since he demolished last year in FG%).

by the way... who is making Cav's jerseys for 2001?

Sun May 25, 2003 3:39 pm

Darius is going to get traded to the lakers, bulk up and be there 4 man, scoring 16 and grabbing 6 boards a game (only in a dream) I love you D! :)

as for the cavs, they have quite a future if they can keep their squad together and keep improving, who knows they make the playoffs in 2 or 3 years :!:

Tue May 27, 2003 1:51 pm

i think the cavs situation is kinda like the sixer b4 (i mean less the lebron james factor) a couple of years ago the sixers sucked like hell, but they had stack and AI, i think davis and wagner are similar players. in the end the sixers let stack go and let AI flourish, maybe the cavs need to do something like that? or maybe davis or wagner may not play to their full potential.

Wed May 28, 2003 7:33 pm

Lebron, w8 until it's official........
I mean, look at this :

Thu May 29, 2003 4:38 am

Number 34 eh.. but nobody on the Cavs wears 23.. or is it retired?

Thu May 29, 2003 5:03 am

Thats a Michell & Ness jersey of Austin Carr

Thu May 29, 2003 10:33 am

larry brown won't toss bron into PF cuz although he's pretty big, he just ain't a post player. its not his or miles' position. the kid can pass, but he's no starting NBA point gaurd. he's gotta play SG or SF, and i think SF to miles or more likely davis at SG. then you're stuck with wagner out of position at PG. i think they gotta trade miles, but nobody wants to give up a decent PG. they can't trade davis cuz he's insane.

It would be easier to trade Davis than Miles. At least Davis has some talent.

Thu May 29, 2003 3:13 pm
