R.O.Y

who's your pick?
i'd take amare over yao any day

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/yao_ming/ ... l?nav=page

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/amare_sto ... l?nav=page

the numbers are pretty much the same, but my pick is amare.coming out of high school to the nba and making an impact your rookie year is very very hard. ( i suppose coming from China to the nba is hard to) also not forgetting Caron Butler

You'd take Amare over Yao anyday, for R.O.Y. or for your team? Because PFs come in bunches whereas 7'5 centers...

Amare, if Manu didnt injure on that damn WC then I'd surely be voting for him.

Yao gonna be better than Stoudamire though, 1st coz his potential, and 2nd coz as u guys said there ain't as many good Cs as PFs, so competition will be tougher for Amare.

Definately Amare. He has had the smoothest transition from school to the NBA and he is the youngest rookie. He is playing like a 10 year veteran.

I'd like to throw in the possibility that Amare and Yao will earn Co-ROY honours. It's not unprecedented (Kidd/Hill in 1995, Brand/Francis in 2000), and since a valid case for both winning the award can be made, it might be appropriate.

Lang, chill out n00bie.

I'd vote for Yao, though I think it'd more fair to have a co-rookie 'tween Yao and Amare.

The transition from China to US is much more difficult than goin' straight from the prom IMHO.

Nah Tales, he's frustrated, too bad he hasn't hung himself yet. . Looks like he can do something good for the community but he doesn't have the Guts.

I really don't care you coming here and post your disgusting thoughts, cause obviously is everything in your mind. Maybe something from your childhood, I don't know but you need professional help, dog. Remember, there's still a little portion of your brain usefull. If you just got out of the closet, that's not my fault. :?

If Amare doesn't win, then whoever didn't vote for him should be shot as they obviously don't even watch basketball. Didn't he score like 37 on KG and pull down some teen number of boards.

Either Amare or Yao. Caron Butler is one of the top picks for this as well but he isn't able to get the recognition he deserves because of his team.

Amare will probably win now since his team is 1½ game ahead of Yao for the playoffs. If they somehow fall out of the playoffs and the Rockets get in (Yea right  ) then Yao will win ROY. Simple as that.
