The Worst Teams In The NBA...?

Postby Lamrock on Thu Jul 19, 2007 8:59 am

Right now, it seems like over 20 teams in the league at over .500 caliber, and only two teams (Philly and Seattle, IMO) look like they might win under 30 games. With most of the lottery either improving greatly or were already playoff teams if not for injuries (LAC, NOH, MEM), who will be there to lose?

I mean, when a team wins 50-60 games, like many teams appear capable of doing, 50-60 teams lose to them... but so many teams look like winning teams now.

You never know until the season actually finishes. Losing streaks, injuries, player suspensions/unhappy players can all affect a team's play. One team might win 60 games one season but then that team can flop if the wrong chain of events go down.

Clippers, statistcally are the worst team in the NBA right now. I'd say Philly, Clippers and Minnesota are going to be the bottom 3 this year.

I think the Hawks, Wolves, Clips, Sonics, Lakers, and Bucks will be the worst teams in the NBA this year.

Depends on the Bucks can get Yi to play or trade him for decent talent. If they don't, look for Minny (along with Seattle) to floor the carpet next year.

if and when the bucks trade y they will get shit in return so he either plays for them or they wasted the 6th pick in a very good draft.

as for the worst teams this season, well i think the sonics will be near the bottom, i think they will have alot of sportscenter moments but fall short very often. i dont see the wolves doing very good this season either, specially if they trade kg which i still think they need to do.

really though this thread needs to be made as preseason is near, its too early to really tell.

You do realise that the Bucks were over .500 last year prior to all the injuries. That was without Simmons for the whole season as well. If healthy this year they are definently a playoff team.

I would say the Wolves will be near the bottom, as will Philly and Indiana in my view. Atlanta will improve a bit, as will Charlotte.

Barring another injury filled season, I think Milwaukee will be fine.

Bottom teams right now I would say are: Seattle, Clippers, Indiana and Sacramento.

I think some of the bottom-dwellers for last season will be much improved. I think Memphis will make the playoffs. The Wolves should be improved with the emergence of Randy Foye (has everyone forgotten about this guy?) and the addition of Corey Brewer. Atlanta finally gets a decent post presence, if Speedy Claxton is healthy and Acie Law plays like a point guard, they could come close to the playoffs this year. New Orleans was hurt by injuries and definately has the talent to be a playoff team, if Julian Wright gets the minutes to explore his game he could really help. Portland is looking good, but they won't make the playoffs. Charlotte could actually make the playoffs if they didn't have so many injury problems. The addition of J-Rich finally gives them a go to guy. I do think this team can make the playoffs, but it will depend on their health. Having guys like Raymond Felton, Emeka Okafor, Gerald Wallace and Jason Richardson on your team looks ood on paper, especially if you factor in the chances of guys like Adam Morrison getting his game together and Sean May staying healthy. Boston looks like they are quite improved, and a breakout season from Gerald Green would really help. Philadelphia looked great after the AI trade, and I think they will continue that. I loved the Thaddeus Young pick at 12, but I don't think many people will think much of him until a couple seasons from now.

The bucks will be fine with or without Yi. If they stay healthy they have Bogut, Villa, Simmons, Redd, Mo, and maybe even Bell and Desmond Mason. They will make the playoffs for sure with those players.

The worst teams will be Pacers, Twolves, Sixers, and possibly the hawks once again.

philly's one of the underrated teams cuz ppl find it hard to admit that they're actually a better team without AI & C-webb...
they are at least 30 win team. at best playoff team... could be the dark horse

my guess is indiana or atlanta unless changes r made
sending away jackson/al harrington for murphy/dunleavy hurt em even more

for bucks, i think they don't have what it takes yet...
roster might look sweet but not at playoff lvl yet
i'm expecting 30-35 wins
THX TO DOPE-JAO FOR THE SPECIAL SIG! <3

Iguodala is going to be a star, i gotta say that. Korver and Carney are gonna shine. But they're an 8th seed team in my opinion.

Philly just lucked out because everyone knew they were tanking for Oden after AI left. They'll be taken much more seriously next year.

I love Indiana, but the Pacers should be considered as one of the worst.

Minny will be the bottom because they just don't have the talent to help Garnett.

Any don't forget McCants. He was coming on strong before his injury (2 years ago I believe?).

Eh? If they were tanking they had an odd way of going about it...what with going 18-11 after the All-Star Break and all.
