So how about them their roster is not looking too bad with
Felton
J-Rich
Gerald Wallace
and
Meka

all they need now is a solid center or power forward so meka could play the five.

That would be a very solid starting 5 for them and Adam Morrison could develope into a nice 6th man. And since the East is wide-open i could see them making the play-offs in 2-3 years...

What are your thoughts?

They have a very nice lineup if you throw in Sean May at PF. Young, but very, very athletic. Let's see if they mesh well together.

As long as J-Rich is motivated and score 20 a night, should be a good team. He seemed pissed to be traded, though.

wouldnt you be too? after the season golden state had and all the hype around them now that is the perfect place to play. however i dont think he is in such a bad situation now. i think golden state actually over achieved last season. if they played anyone besides dallas in round 1 they would have been out then. i think people expect too much from them this season and i wont be the least bit surprised to see them miss the playoffs this season. where he is now he could really shine. he could really show the league how good(or bad) he is. this is a good opportunity for him.

I'm hoping they go small and have Wallace & Hermann playing SF & PF position. I agree they have a good team, especially with Morrison and Carroll coming of the bench. They need however, a solid backup point guard. If everyone stays healthy, i believe they can reach the playoffs. (Y)

Hmm, whos and, must be a undrafted rookie or something

But its a solid roster, if they can go without major injuries through the year, they can have a chance of getting into the playoffs with maybe a 7-8 seed, its anybody's game in the bottom of the playoff seeds.

There's some talent on the roster but health is a bit of an issue. Okafor has missed quite a few games in the last couple of seasons and Sean May hasn't even played half a season in his first two years in the league. The bottom seeds in the East are open though so it's possible they can at least contend for the eighth spot should they remain healthy and their talent clicks and in the case of their younger players, continues to develop. With a rookie head coach and a couple of other teams that should be better this year, sneaking into the postseason might still be a lofty goal.

I can't wait to become a Bobcats fan (doesn't that sound kind of strange?)! I will be moving out towards that part of the state, and I finally have reason to follow the team. I'm hoping to keep up on their games, and maybe even afford to go to a few.

I agree with the assessment that they can make the playoffs. I'm excited that they picked up J-Rich... he's one of my favorite players. At the same time I'm pretty bummed that they traded away Brandan Wright. oh well. They don't want to become the next Vancouver Grizzlies, so they might as well try to become as competitive as possible.

Not to mention hes now back in the situation he was in when he first came to Golden State..

Charlotte already have two options for PF in Sean May and Walter Hermann. I really hope Sean May starts in front of Hermann though.

Charlotte is deep upfront...Carroll, Richardson, Wallace is a great wing rotation in the East. They need a good point guard. Morrison is more likely to become a good player than a bad one, he posted the exact same numbers as in college, except he shot worse and didn't rebound as well. There's a good chance the first part was due to being a rookie. If he shoots half as well as he did in college, he's a solid rotation player, if he shoots like he did in college, he's a starter in the league.

This team should've been in the playoffs the last two years, but injuries have ransacked the team.

Felton doesn't impress me. He's a backup, not a starter. He didn't improve from his first season to his second which is very distressing. He's looking like a poor man's Mike Bibby.

i think the cats could make the playoffs this year , then again, nearly every team in the east could slip into the 8th spot. they need to click though, i personally think they will be a pretty good team next season and i fully expect morrison to start producing something for them off the bench. if this team stays injury free for the most part i think they could reach beyond the 8th seed, though not much more

Felton disappointed me too. If he doesn't make any progress this year he could be on his way. The signing of Matt Carroll was pretty pointless because he is a prototype of Adam Morrison.

I don't think you mean "prototype" instead "clone"?

I actually like Carroll, he's been one of their more valuable players. He's quite good offensively and has saved them quite a bit by being able to play on the wing without killing the team.

I think he's a very good guy to have coming off the bench behind Wallace and Richardson.
