a few thoughts & comments, I'll do my 1st mock once underclassmen date to declare passes, which is some time in early to mid May....

- I think Julian Wright said he's definitely going back to college....I think Chase Budinger should go back for his sophomore year....I really like him, but another year would do him good....

- Noah is a great fit for Phoenix or any other uptempo team, so it would be good to see him go to the right situation (Y)

- I think Brandan Wright & Spencer Hawes, if they both go, will go a little higher, & Jeff Green will go lower....

- I think if Thaddeus Young, despite his up-&-down freshman campaign, would be a mid-1st Rounder at worst....although I think he should go back to college....same with Al Thornton, no way he falls that far....

- I dunno, I just don't see D.J. Strawberry as 1st Round material....

- you've forgotten some big international talents like Marco Belinelli, Rudy Fernandez, Tiago Splitter & more....

otherwise a solid list at this stage, based on college players....

Interesting.

Julian heading back to Kansas must suck for Portland fans, he would be a great fit and available where they would pick. Chase Budingers dad said he will return to Arizona I believe.

I think I'll plan up my mock now...

8. Portland - Al Thornton [6-8 SF, Florida State]
9. Sacramento - Jeff Green [6-8 SF, Georgetown]
10. Chicago - Roy Hibbert [7-2 C, Georgetown]

12. Minnesota - Thaddeus Young [6-8 SF, Georgia Tech]
13. New Orleans - Nick Young [6-6 SG, USC]
14. Golden State - Corey Brewer [6-8 SF, Florida]
15. New Jersey - Tyler Hansbrough [6-8 PF, North Carolina]
16. Detroit - Marco Belinelli [6-6 SG, Italy]
17. Los Angeles (C) - Alando Tucker [6-6 SG, Wisconsin]
18. Philadelphia - Josh McRoberts [6-10 PF, Duke]

30. Philadelphia - Derrick Byars [6-7 SG, Vanderbilt]

Second Round

1. Seattle - Kyle Visser [6-11 C, Wake Forest]
2. Boston - Morris Almond [6-6 SG, Rice]
3. Lakers - Herbert Hill [6-10 PF, Providence]
4. San Antonio - Rodney Stuckey [6-4 SG, Eastern Washington]
5. Dallas - Glen Davis [6-8 PF, LSU]

27. Utah - Mirza Begic [7-3 C, Bosnia]
28. San Antonio - Zabian Dowdell [6-2 PG, Virginia Tech]
29. Phoenix - Sun Yue [6-9 SG, China]
30. Dallas - Jamaal Tatum [6-2 PG, Southern Illinois]

This is my mock with team needs considered and assuming Mike Conley, Daequan Cook, Tywon Lawson, Hasheem Thabeet, Chase Budinger, etc don't enter the draft. Not sure if I have some mistakes, I had about 3 seperate occasions where I forgot a player that should be drafted about 10 spots higher and had to reorder it, including team needs.

I put Al Thornton because the Blazers need a SF badly and have alot of bigmen on their roster. It doesn't matter wether Portland wants Aaron or not because the won't draft him at 8 and their next pick comes at the same time the second round, which I think will be too late to grab him. I thought he would go to San Antonio but their backup PG problem is just as bad as the fact they have no good centers, so I think they would take the best center available in Gasol.

Actually, I should switch the last two picks of the first. You have Phoenix picking, and they need a PG or a center as this point after getting a very good PF early and a do it all shooting guard in Arron Afflalo at 24, they are probably after a C or PG. I think they would go with Arron Brooks, coming from a high powered offence, he should fit right in.

Then that leaves Philadelphia who nabbed two bigs earlier, they are looking for a SG or a PG. The next best PG would go in the top 10 or so in the second round, so they figure why reach when they can get a very good shooting guard to fill one of their gaps.

It'll be interesting to see how it goes down on draft day.

Slamduncan, Tucker has been in college for 5 years. Thats what knocks him so low. He is older than LeBron, and LBJ was drafted almost 4 years ago. GM's love potential, and potential comes with age for the mot part.

Alando Tucker will go low because he's a 6'6" power forward - not for any other reason. He's no Barkley, that's for sure.

Tucker is a SG/SF slasher on the next level though, he has the speed, athleticism and the shooting ability to play it.

wasn't Josh Howard a 6'6" PF in college too? I think Tucker is similar situation, he'll be fine....I hope Jared Dudley can rise up the rankings, have loved the guy since I first saw him play :P
