well it just allows them because technically they are within the restrictions. its not like they have a person who looks at each one and decides whether or not its fair

you can make a million trades that work salary wise but are a complete rip off for one of the teams

Sauru, you are 100% right, Diddy's "trades" are nothing but a rip off for atleast one of the teams (the Carter "trade" was less realistic than Cindarella..)

 I had to re-read his post then. That's a serious typo. You could poke somebody's eye out with that typo.

nets4life, by the way, my first trade more realistic to imagine, that if it would be kobe or KG to Miami! that would 1000% never happen! and my trade could fix some Mia problems, such as having a future Big leader instead Shaq, having a solig back up PG for J-Will!

That Carter trade makes no sense for New Jersey. Why would they give up their heir-apparent to Kidd, their only decent big man and Carter, who could still be traded for more than a bit player? The deal would only make sense if Miami also gave somewhere in the neighbourhood of their soul and their draft picks for the next 54 years.

Something tells me you are a Heat fan, and a very zealous one at that...

because this is a "dream" trade thread... it doesn't have to be founded on reality. :D. But, if you remove krstic, kapono and williams from the equation, this trade really looks good. If they can also dump kidd's contract for a trade like this: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... 12~17~17~1

The nets can start rebuilding on williams-jefferson-krstic, hopefully they can have enough room to manuever a trade or sign a quality big man.

I like to see something similar to this happen though:

I do and while they are WILLING to trade, they are not going to deal for nothing worthwhile. So if you want to operate on a basis of exaggerated truth, swallow this trade:

Best trade for Miami ever, even better than getting Shaq

Why they'd do it

Clippers:
They get rid of the headache that is Corey Maggette while getting a guy who likes to play outside in Antione Walker, who can also pass in to Brand and Kaman, as is LA's preferred style.

New Orleans:
They get a starter from the championship-winning Heat of last year and unload Desmond Mason who will likely leave after this year anyways. This trade gives them a little more winning experience, especially in J-Will.

Memphis:
They get a ton of expiring contracts and Udonis Haslem who is a workhorse. Pau is gone, but the future can still be theirs!

Miami:
Pat Riley would be named GM of history and would have temples opened up to him. People would turn to Miami 5 times a day to pray (but never during gametime since their eyes must remain on the TV). The new starting line-up would feature Shaq, Gasol, Maggette, Wade, Paul and off the bench they would have Rudy Gay. Though not the value they might have hoped for getting for Jason Williams, Michael Doleac, Antoine Walker, Wayne Simien and Udonis Haslem, Miami would have to settle for this trade.
