Thoughts about 07 All Star reserves

Postby Slamduncan on Fri Feb 02, 2007 12:15 pm

What are your thoughts about the all star reserves, which were announced at 7 pm today. personally, I think that ray allen shoud have been a reserve for the west, although he still could with boozer out, and I thought that Michael Redd should have been in for the east. Mike is averaging 27.7 ppg and is one of the top ten league scorers, so he shouldn't have been penalized for his injury.

Bulls with no all-stars
I'm sure Gordon and Deng will have a chance in the near future
But 1 of the top teams in the east without an all-star is odd, but i really don't think Gordon is at all-star level.

Congrad to Caron Butler, he is deserving, 22pts, 8rebs, 4assists, 2steals, and 1 of the best teams on the East.

I think Redd is the biggest snub on the east, sure all-star if it weren't for his injury.

Next year is going to be tight with Paul Pierce healthy, and probably improvement to the Bulls team and individuals like Gordon and Deng.

Also if Hawks get better with the draft, Johnson should be deserving as well.

On the West side,
Tony Parker over Josh Howard? Even though Howard is injured right now, Dallas had a better season, Howards been better than Parker.

Suns with 3 all-stars ( deserving ) Dallas with 1, that is odd.
Camby will never make the all-star team cuz he is teamed up with Melo and AI... Unfair for him, he has been performing like an all-star.

Other than that, i think the picks are good. I don't think Allen is deserving this year, he has been injured a little bit? I forgot, but Sonics aren't doing well either. Allen and Randolph would be tied for a spot in my opinion.

A little surprised at the fact Melo didnt get in, though I'm guessing he'll make it as a replacement for Yao. Joe Johnson should have made it, but I haven't watched the Pistons enough to see if he deserves it over Rip.

I am very please to see Caron Butler at the ASG. He deserves it. (Moreover he is very good in my dynasty : he just won the 2010 MVP trophy with the wiz)
