Nash isn't
that bad of a defender. He usually has to double off his man, so it looks bad in the box score. He's quick enough though to be a pest on defense, and usually does a good job on on double teams and help plays. He's also willing to give up his body for charges.
For the game, I watched it all for the most part. I was amazed that the Nets shot the ball so well, especially on jumpers. This team is usually one of the worst on 3's and jumpshooting, but some less than great shooters stepped it up tonight to keep them close. I doubt they'll shoot it great like that again for awhile.
Nash was clutch the entire game. Not only was the shot at the end of the 1st OT a big one, but I dont recall him missing but maybe one shot in the 4th quarter, and all overtimes combined. He hit basically everything, and was automatic from the free throw line. Anyone who doesn't think this guy is a clutch performer hasn't seen him play. The playoff game two years ago against Dallas... the double OT thriller against Denver last year.. game winner against Golden State two weeks ago, and again tonight (and thats just off the top of my head).
