Adidas "It takes 5" commercial

Postby Axel on Mon Nov 13, 2006 12:04 pm

Just noticed an alternate version of this extremely annoying commercial today. This one focuses exclusively on T-Mac, but has the same message "It takes 5" to win. Anyone else notice the irony in this, when T-mac admitted to playing for stats? That he played selfish in Orlando, and never won anything at all? Somehow the audience is supposed to be fooled that T-mac wasn't playing for himself those years with the Magic, but I think he's the one who is really fooled.

I think Adidas should have picked someone else. Or better yet not even have that commercial at all. :x

I'm patiently waiting for the exclusive Tim Duncan one. Yeah just saw the T-Mac one earlier, but I think that despite his situation in Orlando when he was frustrated with his team, you should see him play. He is very unselfish and racks up the assists like he's a point guard. I think he just did the playing for stats thing because his teammates couldn't do shit and after losing 20 straight he knew his team wasn't going anywhere. He's also leading the Rockets in assists so far this season with 6.2 per game.

Why wait for the boredom of Mr. Duncan, and watch the stat-padder's?

Gilbert Arenas is the one to wait and watch.

btw if you play basketball, don't buy the t-mac 6's. just got them a couple days ago and those things are heavy and stiff as concrete.

Haven't seen it yet, but isn't it some marketing strategy? Like T-Mac confessing... but it's just Adidas' idea... :?:
