...and the refs with a huge come from behind win. It's like reggie miller said on TNT last week...why make the players the bad guys all the time? They tell the media when players get fined..but dont say shit when refs get suspended or fined? It's ludacris....it's time for stern to leave the NBA in peace.

It made me want to punch someone in the face. The League is fucked up as hell, Stern should retire. All that "Rasheed" rule and accessories stuff. Now this kind of officicating. Someone needs a wakeup call.Is it me, or was really EVERYTHING better in the 90's. I really can't describe my disappointment.

Looks like the NBA is going down the same road as EA's Live.

I wouldn't say that. A bit of drama is good for the NBA IMO... the zero tolerance officiating is a bit too tight though... The NBA is still exciting in its own sense... last season was one of the best seasons and this season should surpass it.

The talent of the league overall is at its best in a long long time since the 90s. (Y)

Just the rule changes and all the new guidelines seem a bit ridiculous. I'm sure they will get it right tho...

The refs in that video were really awful and disgraceful (N)

You wish Kobe did this to em

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fvVopJYr4s

this ref you feel sorry for in this vid, poor ref hope he's alright now

The ref hopefully got fired in the kb vid and should be doing this instead

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcL6ni9HRLs

Update: Found another vid with bad reffing, Rockets at Mavs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eY8qGHU52E

Disgraceful reffing has to be banished.

Necessary?

The job of the referees is to keep the game fair for all parties involved, period. Their job is not to interject or affect the outcome in any slanted way what so ever, be it directly or indirectly towards or against a single player and/or team. Unfortunately things like this take place in all sports, from the professional level all the way down to the youth recreation programs. It's a real shame. Those blaming Stern for this, however; need to find a new goat to shout at, because this is not nearly an NBA-exclusive problem, nor do I imagine he has much, if anything, to do with it.

I really didnt see the refs refusing to make calls because it was kobe. Gooden wouldnt get a tech because he just showed his frustration, he didnt go after the ref like he made a bad call. That offensice foul by kobe was the same thing as what i saw. Another time the announcers said he got smacked, but it looked like the defender hit the ball, not kobe. I did see how there should have been a foul when Kobe was getting mauled by 2 cavs, but didnt the same thing happen to nash last year in the playoffs with no call? To me this video just shows how much of a LA fanboy the creator of this video is. Own up to your loss, stop blaming the refs for your team losing, and move on. If its one thing i cant stand its fanboys who see things that really didnt happen. I mean if you root for a team to win you are going to notice bad calls, or what you think are bad calls to your team and notice good calls towards the team you want to lose. It just happens like that. But i watch the games as neutral, so i have no bias for either team. Trust me, i have seen friends get mad over calls against their team, when in reality it was the right call.

Wasn't this game last season, before the "zero tolerance" policy was put in place?

To tell you the truth, a lot of times, I feel games are fixed. Like game 7 of Lakers/Suns series last year.

NBA has terrible refs, but please it has nothing to do with Kobe. Van Gundy was fined a record $100,000 for publically disclosing how the refs were told to target Yao Ming in the playoffs.

Here's an article that actually tracked the "bad call" statistics for refs during game 5 of last year's Finals, and you can see how biased that was:

The refs were bad, especially in the first half of the clip. On another note, Kobe is an excellent player
