noone seems to notice but the rockets just dealt dallas a blow out with a 31 point win! and ming just showed great maturity at his post and shooting game. your insights guys?

They have a much better team this year...
Rafer Alston is improving with age..
Battier, Wells, Snyder and even Novak are awsome.. Now you know why Rockets were crap last year... They added 2 starters and most of their 2nd unit and added Healthy mcgrady + yao

I think they will get over 50 wins this season

they could get over 50 as long as mcgrady stays fit. hopefully wells or snyder can fit well as a sixth man, then theyd be in business

We got Hornets, and we're down 8 in the 2nd...for some reason we ALWAYS struggle against Hornets. :|
Hopefully we'll come back strong. Yao's got 3 fouls :x

Synder's a good pickup, his minutes will probably decrease when Wells gets fully fit. But he's a good defender, athletic as fuck & not a bad scorer.

Tmac's forcing it too much, everytime i see him with the ball, he feels like he really needs to do something, he needs to let the game come to him, they got Yao as the main offence, Alston's penetration, Battier and Novak's shooting, Snyder's slashing and Wells postups

I see him crossing over then pulling up WAY too much, i didn't c him drive much, he had one dunk and a few dish offs when he drove...

He looks 100% healthy tho

Yao is great, hes gonna be a 25 point scorer over the season..

Mcgrady has always been a slow starter. I think hes deferring to yao more on the offense than he used to and its affecting his game. He seems lost and always get caught up between a playmaker and scorer. It doesn't give him enough rythm. His shot is off right now but i do agree he looks healthy.

And defer to Yao he should... the guy is shooting over 70% from the field for nearly 30ppg!!!
Just give him the ball and ride his hot hand...

Im looking forward to Wells putting up some good numbers (mainly so I can grab him in fantasy leagues ;) heh heh) and also looking forward to McGrady getting an injury, so Luther Head will have some value again

noone seems to notice

how do you figure? not everyone feels the need to make a thread about everything they see on nba.com, you know...

Shane Battier is proving to be an awesome player from the trade. He's not stunning but he's doing his job and being the leader of this team. (Y) He's a natural leader and I do think that he helps Yao and Mac a lot.

On the topic of Yao, what did I say about him playing good? :D He finally is attacking the hoop, he's a beast! Sometimes has his off day by picking up a few fouls but overall, he is killing on attack. :D

He's gotta get into shape first, he missed most of the preseason with injury and right now he's looking way overweight.

T-Mac still struggling, although he got in his groove a little today.

Yao was dominant, Grizzlies couldn't stop him.

I lvoe Tmac's quote: "I'm jealous of Shane because when I go back to Orlando and Toronto, they kill me" <-- in reference to Battier's standing ovation.

i saw the interview about jabbar saying he was disgusted how young center and forwards evolving into the nowitzki or garnett nowadays, he still believe that a back to the basket center is the most effective form of basketball for tall and buff guys inside. he holds high praises for yao ming as he said yao is one of the selected few who can dominate the basketball game by using his legth and size. how i wish he could have a chance to train yao. anyways goodluck for him in taking care of kwame, turiaf or bynum and most esp. mihm

Ah well, we don't need no Jabbar for Yao man! The Dream is coaching Yao and let Jabbar do his job with Bynum... Yao and Bynum are the next true centers of NBA! Centers with real skills (Y)

ofcuz...no injuires like last yr!!!!

Ironic, since Jabbar couldn't win until the original Big Guard himself was drafted to his team, Earvin Johnson.

yeah, but he still remains the all time great scorer though, which means that whatever he did before was pretty much effective. Jabbar even comented how young and new generations of center are shy or even ashamed to use a hookshot but always settle for the fade away J.

on the topic of Yao, i thought it was Ewing doing him the training, but big Hakeem also? WOW, but why can't i see the shake and bake from Yao? he seldom do fake moves, all he does is went straight up for the basket, he needs to do some few leaning shots or flush most of time. anyways i'm still happy that there is much improvement to his game this year.

lastly i notice that too dr.funk. the rockets are seem poised to do things in a hurry or move a lot more quicker than last year, i don't know if it is a good thing or bad since it is too early to tell. just crossing my fingers that we remain atleast 90% healthy till play off time, that way we can be a contender in the west
