8. Case "Closs-ed"
It's not every day you see a 7-foot-3, 190-pound NBA player in the middle of a full-fledged street riot. But if you haven't seen the tape of Clippers backup center Keith Closs getting beaten down by his fellow revelers outside a club on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, you're missing a truly spectacular scene.
The melee began after a shirtless Closs — not a pretty sight — started whooping it up from the running board of a battleship-sized SUV. Closs is towering over the crowd and something he was yelling must have struck a nerve because the dude got jumped. The sight of the shirtless, freckled, oddly-coiffed Closs swinging wildly and futilely at his antagonized assailants was sort of a metaphor for Clippers basketball pre-2005.
The key element of the video that takes this from merely bizarre to an all-time classic beatdown is that in the midst of Closs's flailing self-defense a woman runs up and clocks him.

DP: Who is the goofiest guy in the league?
SF: It was Keith Closs last year. Definitely Keith Closs. But this year, I don't think anybody will ever take his place. I've got to leave that one open.
DP: So nobody's going to take Keith's place ... why was he the goofiest?
SF: Did you see that videotape when he got in a fight? I mean, that was goofy.
