wow i like the heats vs bulls and also the raps vs the nets

some nice games

YES! The Grizzlies will finally when their first game of the season since being in Memphis. They always lose their first games and since they're playing the Knicks, it looks like things will start out pretty nice. Then they have the Bobcats next!

I beg to differ.......the knicks might actaully surprise us and get better :D.......i dont think that the grizzlies would be that hard to defeat, but then again i may be wrong

Wed Aug 02, 2006 6:40 am

Damn, it's Kobe vs. Shaq on Christmas again... :x

Wed Aug 02, 2006 7:51 am

heat vs bulls in tipoff. this will be a big one

Wed Aug 02, 2006 7:55 am

Shit, Boston will start with New Orleans and will continue with Detroit. At least at home. The Hornets are the team that made the most significant moves this offseason, in my opinion, so this will be a hard game against Peja, Chandler and Jackson. And Detroit... well, they are the Pistons. They dropped Ben, but still it will be hard to win. At the beginning of the last season, by the way, the Celtics lost 81-82 against Detroit (also second game, and also at home), due to a buzzer beater by Rip Hamilton.

zomfg the Nuggets play the Clipps, they're not gonna win it so why dont they just forfeit the game and save a season injury!

Wed Aug 02, 2006 8:43 am

I'm really liking December for the Knicks , considering that 11 of there 16 games are at home. (Y)

this heat/lakers thing on christmas needs to stop -- they've done it the last two seasons already and it's getting old. i want to see something new, like phoenix vs. LA or chicago vs. detroit

I agree. Heat vs Dallas sounds more of a rivalry than Shaq vs Kobe.

First game for the Raptors is against Charlie V and the Bucks. I'll definitely be tuning in to that.

Edit: My mistake, I meant first home game opener against the Bucks.

the christmas game must obviously get the ratings.

Bulls/Heat would have to be a TNT broadcast. :( Looks like the first game on ESPN Australia will be Wizards/Cavs or Clippers/Suns. I can definitely live with that though.

Looking through the Bulls' schedule, barring ESPN Australia deciding to show another game, rebroadcasting games on FSN stations and other local networks and picking up games late in the year as they did last season, they should be showing a few games:

Sixers @ Chicago: December 6th (shown on Thursday the 7th)
Chicago @ Sonics: February 2nd (shown on Saturday the 3rd)
Washington @ Chicago: February 23rd (shown on Saturday the 24th)
Chicago @ Detroit: April 4th (shown on Saturday the 5th)

The Sonics game possibly won't be shown since they're likely just going to show Bucks/Pistons, the first game in that double header.

Taking a glance at the other matchups it doesn't look too bad for ESPN Australia viewers, though I still wouldn't call it a wide variety.

wow milwaukee gets 1 game on ESPN out of all the cable channels. How dissapointing.

Wed Aug 02, 2006 12:20 pm

thats cuz there a small market team...

my sixers get 8 games on ESPN, looking forward to our season, starting with shitty atlanta.

Still, i think it would be better to show a variety of teams rather then shoving dallas, san antonio, miami, lakers down our throats everytime we want to watch nba basketball.

Should've got Foxtel last season instead :x

Thu Aug 03, 2006 4:51 pm

yeah last season was packed with Bucks games.
Denver are on ESPN about 7 times, im not sure but that seems alot more than last season

Thu Aug 03, 2006 5:24 pm

i dont know if this is a first or not......but the knicks are not broadcasted on tnt or espn for the entire season

Fri Aug 04, 2006 10:44 pm

Given their last season's performance, I don't really wonder about that.

If you live close to the city though, you can get them locally on Madison Square Garden's channel.
