Sacramento Kings Offseason thread

Postby -Young Buck- on Wed Jul 26, 2006 10:05 am

I didnt know where to put this so i made this topic.

Now that the kings have signed John Salmons it looks like the Kings are looking for a sign and trade with Bonzi Wells. Does anyone think a good deal would be Bonzi sign and trade to Milwaukee for Magliore? I dont know if this is possible, but i think it would be a good deal.

Make this the "Sacramento Kings offseason thread."

A Wells-Maggloire trade makes sense, as Sac-town needs bigmen while Milwuakee needs a SF. (bonzi could play sf). however, ive heard he might go to denver so i dont know what will happen.

I thought big men was the one thing the Kings actually had. They still have Brad Miller, Brian Skinner, Kenny Thomas and Abdur-Rahim, right?

Brian Skinner plays for portland, and Kenny Thomas isn't a very tall big man.

Kenny Thomas is more of a Small Forward.

it would've been nice to see Kings keep Bonzi but I can understand why they didn't....the playoff series, which is indicative of his talent level, really inflated his value....I don't know what's Bonzi is asking, but I'd give him $7 million per year....as for Salmons, whilst I've liked him since his was a freshman at Miami (Fl), too me he's just a pretty good talent who hasn't & probably won't live up to his potential....I think he's more of a $3 million per year than a mid-level guy, but hopefully I'm proved wrong....the good sign with this deal is that the Kings have a nice backcourt with Bibby, Martin, Garcia, Hart & Salmons....whilst it won't wow anyway, I think it could be pretty effective if Martin, Garcia & Salmons improve as expected....

I'm not a big Kings fan, but what mainly keeps me watching is Kevin Martin. That guy can play in this league... I seriously hope that he'll do well next season.
