Good to see that Carmelo make the roster, from what I heard he is working much harder(16M a year)!

If they want to be a serious contender they will need a big center, like shaq, or Eddy Curry. Even though eddy isnt really good he would be intimidating to european players.

Darko intimidated by Curry? Darko's afraid of no one, no one I tell yas.

The days when foreign teams were intimidated/awed/amazed by NBA stars are long gone. Foreign teams now want to beat Team USA to the ground.

Not really, the European centers can shoot. They need someone like Dirk out there. That's not possible given Dirk will probably play for Germany. So yeah, basically they need a 7 footer who can (and will) defend the perimeter and can hit long range shots. Duncan?

Yes, I believe they have what it takes. The team has good interior defense (Brand) and unselfish players (James and Wade). The passing will be well and I can see them scoring pretty high too.

The coach is also a good one, so yes, I do believe they have what it takes. Dream Team it isn't, but it's good enough.

No they don't. European centres don't have a Shaq or Eddy Curry on their roster anyway (Curry sucks, and can't rebound, so it'll be pointless having his lard ass going up and down the court).

If Amare gets healthy again, there's no reason why he can't dominate. Don't forget that Brad Miller and Dwight Howard aren't too bad of rebounders either.

Who will be the last 3 cut? I think Joe Johnson, Antawn Jamison and Shane Battier will get cut.

Roster looks pretty solid. I personally love the inclusion of Shane Battier because of the gritty defense he can lay down if need be and the big men all can move their feet well on defense and will keep the offense fluid. I'm pretty excited to see how this thing will go down....its all business.

Marion was cut because of a knee injury. Otherwise, he would've definitely made the team. I think some questionable players who made the cut are Heinrich, Battier (He's the Coach's Pet for god's sake), Bowen, and Jamison. I think JJ will make the team.

i personally don't think that anyone from europe or anywhere in the world has a chance of preventing a healthy amare from dominating the paint besides if there will be no ego problems wade and lebron in the same team will surely be devastating

although i must say the usa team has the most chance of winning... that roster is like an all-star team..

From what I've heard and read, JJ has really impressed Coach K, so I don't see him getting cut. I'd say Brad Miller (since they already have 2 C/PF's that can play C), Shane Battier/Bruce Bowen (they're both basically there for defense, plus they already got LeBron/Carmelo who will probably be playing the most minutes at that position unless they start hogging it or something), and Antawn Jamison will be getting cut.

Let's hope Bosh will make the 12 men roster. This current roster's got some serious PF/C's. Amare, Brand, Howard...etc.

I would expect for Jamison to get cut just cause he's the odd men out. He's great, but this roster is very deep at SF and PF. Miller might get cut, but i like he's toughness. Battier might just survive, just cause coach K knows him well. He's very similar to Bowen, but Battier is better offensivly.

This is a great roster, notice 5 of the 15 are from the 2003 draft. If they all stay with the team, i think US will have a pretty good chance of winning.

Wow kobe got cut.... im relieved and a little surprised... even though hes a ball hog, but i thought the team would want to keep him for scoring power....i guess they dont really need it now cuz of so many scorers like lebron n dwayne...

i think shane battier would make the cut, just for the sake hes a great a defender.... fresh bloodz from this years pick r maybe too raw to play this year... but i was kinda hopin jj would get in

It would be idiotic to cut Joe Johnson. He's one of the best shooters out of the 15 players remaining, not to mention he can take some of the ball-handling responsibilites off the younger players (Paul, Hinrich).

I'm so glad to see Amare Stoudemire make the cut. From what I hear, he is playing very well. Amare Stoudemire ALWAYS brings his A-game when he plays against well-known competition. Expect big things...

I'm surprised Marion didn't make the cut. But, I like that roster though, if I wanted to put out a starting group it would be:

PG - Gilbert Arenas
SG - Dwyane Wade
SF - Lebron James
PF - Elton Brand (mainly because I don't think Stoudemire is ready yet)
C - Dwight Howard

actually stoudemire but just be ready... he must have proven himself during the training camp if he made the cut.. and he also played well(what did you expect  ) in the summer league. but brand is just as a good choice so whatever that lineup is pretty good... but would dwight howard start over miller?

As previously mentioned, Marion is choosing not to participate due to a knee injury. He would've made it otherwise...he's much better than Battier, lol.

I think your starting lineup looks pretty good. However, depending on how ready Stoudemire is, I'd start him over Dwight Howard. Dwight isn't all that skilled on offense. Amare has a solid mid-range game and has worked on his passing. Having two big men like Brand and Stoudemire having the ability to spot up for 12 feet or going down low is a big weapon.

Actually, I could see Chris Paul or Kirk Hinrich getting the start over Arenas. Arenas is the better player than both at this point, but Paul and Hinrich are the true point guards. With Wade and LeBron in the starting 5, you don't need another 30ppg player in Arenas. You need a 10+apg player.

I don't think Joe Johnson will be cut. Kryzoaepojepfojwpefjw came out and basically said he had no flaws, and that he was a "star". It's the only guy as far as I'm aware that he's come out and commented on, so I think he'll be in there.

it was marion, morrison and ridnour that got cut. no surprise. from the articles i've read it seems the three most impressive people in camp are paul, anthony and johnson. i'm kinda curious what starting lineup they'll put in there. i wouldn't be surprised if either wade or lebron came off the bench.

Im suprised Michael Redd and Chauncy Billups didnt make it. People were going on and on about how the USA team is so much better because they have shooters like those guys. But I suppose with so many stars people get left out.

As far as 7ft 3pt shooters, they have Brad Miller. He's not a great 3pt shooter, but he hits open 3's and he is 7ft tall, but thats not really big deal because everyone from Europe shoots 3's.

I think this roster has the ability to win it all. I hope Brad Miller and Kirk Hinrich stay, they need some whiteboys to ride the pine! lol.

I think it was obvious Ridnour and Morrison would get cut, but I think in 2 years time who knows how good they'll be, and we know Bowen, Brad Miller, and a few others wont be quite as good as they used to be, and of course Injuries always come around. Ridnour has insane court vision, if he were on a team like the Suns I'd be willing to bet he'd be considered twice as good as he is now because he's so awesome in the open court.

Nah, it's just because the three point line is placed at 6.25 metres, not 7.05 like the NBA.
