Duncan thinks WWE is a slam dunk

Every NBA fan already knows that Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs is arguably the best player in the NBA, but what they may not know is that the three-time NBA Champion is also a huge WWE fan. Since RAW was at the AT&T Center, the Spurs’ home arena, it was only fitting that Duncan was on hand.

And it’s also fitting that one of his favorite Superstars is San Antonio’s own Shawn Michaels.

“I watch (WWE) all the time,” said the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player. “I’ve met (Shawn Michaels) a couple different times, and I love to come see the (Superstars). I also love seeing Ric (Flair).”

Also the NBA Finals MVP in 1999, 2003 and 2005, Duncan is no stranger to capacity crowds and rabid fans, but he says nothing compares to a WWE crowd.

“Wrestling fans are so crazy,” said Duncan, one of only 10 NBA players to win the MVP award more than once. “Everywhere you go, it’s a packed house. It’s awesome. It’s just a great show to see.”
"timduncan for mvp, go spurs"

Wow... I always knew that Duncan was a huge fan of video games, but never knew that he was a big fan of wrestling too. But then again, many other athletes enjoy wrestling as well. I bet if Tim Duncan was a wrestler, with his height, his finishing move would definitely either be a Powerbomb, Chokeslam, or a Big Boot.

He'd probably bounce them off the backboard like every shot he does, lol. He needs to bring some other players to wrestling, big guys who cant cut it in the NBA.

Figures. HBK likes the Spurs and Duncan likes HBK. That's two hobbies we have in common: Video games and Wrestling....maybe basketball, but that's his job.

Now only if he liked TNA better...

That article was riding Duncans dick through the whole thing. Everytime they mention his name they have to say that he has 3 rings, 3 MVP trophy's etc.

Anyways, good for him. :|

i knew they were both from san antonnio although tim duncan isnt FROM san antonnio, he plays for them.

it doesnt matter that much i was saying that its weird because of how i have a weird feeling in my stomach that says its cause its weird in a way that duncan likes shawn michaels other than the fact that they are sa people.

WWE at the moment is crap, so I can't say I agree with him.

Let's go TNA!

I would have though that Duncan, being the fundamental, "boring" player that he is, wouldn't like the entertainment-only WWE. Maybe that's his secret dream.

Flair cant wrestle? You have got to be kidding me. The moves he can do at his age are great.

Im assuming you're one of them undertaker fans. The no-talent, no sell, full of charisma superstars.
