Hoop It Up

Postby Clinton on Sun Feb 09, 2003 12:04 pm

Los Angeles beat Atlanta 23-19 in All Star Hoop It Up. The LA team consisting of Magic, Lisa Leslie, Marko Jaric and Ashton Kutcher made a big run at the end proved to have to much for the team of Dominique Wilkens, Sheryl Swoopes, Jason Terry and Malcom. ot greatly exciting, but still a chance to see Dominique and Magic, as old and fat as they are, play some ball.

He hit a nice three. But yes, he does lack anything resembling a jump. He barely leaves the ground.

He got up high enough to catch an alley-oop...

And Frankie Muniz can ball. Scary.

Well you have to consider he's pretty short and it was an Nba three. You could tell he was having to force the ball to the rim.

Danny Ainge's line "When Magic drove in for the lay-up, he almost got called for 3 in the key." was one of the funniest things I've ever heard a commentator say. Some of the other lines said in that game, like when Barkley compared the Los Angelos Sparks to the Los Angelos Clippers made me wish I had TNT in Canada.
