Melo offered the same amount as LBJ? i personally don't think Melo deserves a max deal. He's not there yet.

Melo isn't the "clutches player" in the NBA. Where did you get that?

He's a great player, but he's just not there yet. He reminds me of Antonie Walker.

Here is the point where I tell you to go read my post once more. Don't you see "arguably" somewhere in there?
I'm a Kobe Bryant fan so my choice in terms of clutchness is obvious. I still cant deny that Melo has hit quite a few clutch shot over the years. Also, I cant deny the fact that Lebron only had one field goal in the scond half of a game 7 which his team scored only 61.
The moral of the story is that Lebron has not performed that much better than Melo for you to believe Melo doesnt deserve max because James got it. Carmelo is a great player who plays in an overall tougher (from top to bottom) conference than the east. He made it to the playoffs 3 straight years in that conference. He deserved rookie of the year just as much as Lebron did if not for the name and all the hype for a guy who was sitting at home during playoff time that year. While Lebron was stuffing stats he was winning ballgames.dadamafia wrote:With the standard of guys getting max contracts these days Melo deserves it also.
he was in a very weak division with Utah, Seattle, Minny and Portland.
