Miles AND AI to Minnesota?(scroll down for AI stuff)

Postby twolvesguy on Sat Jul 01, 2006 3:44 am

Writer Patrick Reusse said in an article that the Portland Trail Blazers are trading Darius Miles for Marko Jaric. Most people think it has to do with the Randy Foye-Brandon Roy trade because Darius for Marko doesn't work straight up.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Kevin McHale is slowly slipping into the famous Isiah Zone.

KG is going to murder someone this season, mark my word.

Great deal for Minny. To unload Jaric's contract for someone who has any talent at all is a miracle.

I believe they were going after Miles during the trade deadline, and would have had to give up quite a bit more to get him. And they stayed patient, got him anyways, and unloaded a bad contract in the process.

It's a fairly decent deal for Minnesota I think. Miles may be a nutcase, but playing with Garnett might set him straight, who knows (although we've almost the same thing for every new team that he's been on). I don't think Miles is too bad of a player, especially since he played like he might at least fill half of his predicted potential before he got injured last season.

I think Miles will probably help them, and If anyone can get Miles to play like he should its Kevin Garnett. Dwayne Casey also seems like a more relaxed coach so Miles may end up liking him, plus they could use some more depth at the SF spot and this could shift Davis over to SG and provided they resign Banks that gives them a back court that is young and set for years to come.

But, this is all provided that Darius actually plays like he should. If he does I see good things for Minnesota.

Minnesota has too many damn swingmen. Where the shooters at? Who's the PG?

The only swingmen on the roster I see are Ricky Davis and possibly Trenton Hassell. All of the other guards are point guards or undersized two gaurds.

Yeah, they were such an amazing tandem in Cleveland. At least they helped the Cavs get LeBron. I wonder if that means that if this trade happens that they'll help Minnesota get Oden...

Good deal for Minny.

Jaric is a piece of crap while Miles is an athletic, defensive piece of crap with potential.

Two disgruntled players swap uniforms. It's a decent deal for both sides but Jaric isn't the answer to Portland's problems while Miles is sure to create some in Minnesota. That said, KG/Miles/Davis is an intriguing trio and doesn't look too shabby on paper, but Miles really needs to improve his attitude. No more complaining when the coach refuses to pamper him and hands out a punishment for missing practice or violating team rules.

But dont you feel, Andrew, that if there is any coach who'll be understanding It'll be Dwayne Casey, and if there is any veteran who can whip him into shape it would be Garnett?

No, I don't. I think it's going to have to be one of those things Darius Miles has to figure out for himself, perhaps with a bit of prodding in the form of benching and discipline. As we've seen, other coaches have endeavoured to help him develop a more professional attitude and healthier work ethic and it clearly hasn't made a difference. I don't think Casey and KG possess a magic touch guaranteed to make him "see the light" as it were.

Miles just needs a good situation.

Minny will be a good place for him.

For all the trouble he caused recently, Miles was very effetive in a backup role with the clippers.

I like this trade for Minny. Especially because it helps me when NBA LIVE 07 comes out because I would rather Miles than Jaric (even though I'd probably trade either one of them in the end).

I also dont think he'll ever "see the light" but I just feel that if there were any coach/player combo to try to get him to see the light, KG and Casey would be the best...

Maybe this could be a Sheed Wallace type situation...or not. I would love to see Miles in Minni. Jaric is a piece of crap, and to think that he got traded for Cassell! Maybe the boys in Minnesota can go sign Cassell

Now this is probably a piece of crap, but a radio guy here in Minny said that a Twolves official said that the Philadelphia 76'ers will deal the Wolves AI if Randy Foye is in the deal.
