A request.

Would it be rude of me to ask if the thread makers of their respective threads not post the outcome of the series in their thread titles? I know it serves as a booster and really looks nice when you see SA beat Dallas, but some of don't really get all the games on the same day. We get it a tad later via various means and that basically means isolating oneself from channels like CNN, sites like NBA, ESPN and the sorts. I'd like to be able to visit the Forum without having to read the outcome of the game.

Again, this is a request, it's not an order, it's just something I'd like the thread makers to take into consideration. If you feel I'm out of line asking for that & label it as absurd given I'd have to avoid a lot of stuff not to see the score, feel free to keep posting the outcome, I can't force you to change the way you feel about something.

Thanks and adios. :)

I don't mean to sound rude...but why visit the NBA forum when you're trying to isolate yourself from NBA news? Maybe just stick to General Talk at these points?

i don't see why people can't fulfill this request. I mean those who know the outcome don't need to have it in a thread title....goes w/o saying.

but yeah, whenever i tape a game i stay clear of the internet.

In response to Colin: That's a good idea, but there are awards discussions, off-season move discussions which don't happen in General Talk (unless you visit another version of the General Talk I visit.) Mainly it's easier to browse these threads and read the various arguments without having to see "Dallas vs SA - 0 - 1"

Basically your suggestion doesn't let me read the above mentioned threads without having to hear or know about the outcome of a series. It's not as if I'm asking you to not discuss the game altogether, just asking for it not to be put in the thread title.

Just don't go on the internet period

I could be rude and resort to saying something like "If you don't have a brain, don't bother posting, period." But since I'm playing nice, I won't do that. I don't visit that many sites that I'd have to not go online in totality. So basically that suggestion is absurd & something I won't take into consideration.

Jackal, you are friends with Jae & Andrew arent you.

I'm not certain what you're referring to, but yes, I do consider Jae & Andrew one of the more liked people from the forums, I'm uncertain if the feeling is reciprocated, but they are civil towards me and that's all I ask for. Again, not certain what you mean but I'll probably get it after you explain what you mean in the next post.

 it's not that much to ask for. just refrain from updating the series score in your thread title. if anything, that's less work for you - he's doing you a favor

Ok so I was out of line a little bit

I don't see your initial post as out of line, I see your initial post as an utter lack of any intelligence. You felt the need to press the reply button & just type some words in. You proceeded to do so & your shit for brains were posted in that one line.

but its so stupid I mean the forum name is NBA Talk

You continue to show the high level of stupidity you seem to have obtained by watching Steve Nash's hair bob up/down & left/right. Did you completely ignore the second post I made in this thread? Was it not dumb enough for you to comprehend what I said?
NBA Talk does not solely revolve around the scores of the series, it is of great importance at this time (the playoffs) but it isn't the only thing there is to talk about. At this time of the year various awards are being given to the various players of the NBA. I'd like to be able to actually talk about the recipient of the awards and/or the nominee's of those awards without knowing the outcome of the game I'm about to watch in an hour or two.
It's almost off-season time, for a lot of teams including my favorite team's, the off-season journey has begun. There are posters who have ideas, visions and suggestions they would like to share with fellow fans/board members to get feedback or their thoughts on the matter. This happens to fall under NBA Talk and isn't related to the outcome of a series between SA & Dallas, is it?

Honestly, how about actually thinking about what I'm saying instead of just posting a preset from that dung shitpile in your head you tend to call a brain? How about that?

Why am I even discussing this with you? A cunt hair such as yourself wouldn't even begin a new topic, let alone be capable of actually having good points to counter with.

About the creativeness about the NBA thing, it's quite logical I'll stay away from that page given it's main focus is the NBA Playoffs. The playoffs aren't the main focus of the forums, the comparison is not even close to eachother for me to take you seriously. I've stressed on it during this post but that last line accentuates your exquisite level of "dumb". Good job.

I think its hard to please a couple of people Jackal but I kinda understand your point of view since it'll be nice to have a sense of suprise. Just wondering though how come the games are delayed? NBA.com and ESPN are pretty fast at updating it and sure their might be about a 30 second to 1 minute delay but I dont think its any greater than that most of the time. Just watch the gamecast and stay away from the NLSC till the game is over, unless you dont watch games via gamecast or nba.com's live updates.

It makes sense - and is it really neccesary anyway? If people care - they know the series score. If they dont, fuck em.

I don't watch the Live Cast, I get my games from elsewhere. We don't get the games televised because of subtitles/dubbing issues. Lack of interest is another point.

Live games wouldn't be a solution either, NBA game time = 4/5 a.m. over here. I attend boring two hour lectures about some random law that was passed way back when, not enough sleep can really have you snoring in class. So yeah, that's out of the question.

I don't know what the big deal is about, if some people can't see the games on the same day then you shouldn't put the series scores in the title of the thread. It's not that hard and it is out of respect to those who can't see it the day it airs.

I'm with Jackal on this one. Maybe 80% of the forum is from countries other than the US, so you can guess how many people can't watch games live for a variety of reasons.
It's like spoiling the plot of a brand new movie; useless to watch anymore.

Its pretty easy to be done, but I don't think every single person on the board would be reading this thread (or they're simply too stupid to read) and listen to your request.

I can't believe it, but I'm actually agreeing with Jackal 100% I mean you its not that big of a deal to where you have to change your topic everytime a game is done in the first place. Just keep the title at one thing until the series end. Everytime I think about it, it makes more and more sense. I mean your going to be talking about the game in the thread anyway, so whats the point of adding it to the topic?
