Why can't live simulate close games in finals, there's rarely a time where a team wins 3 games above 16 points and without injury, lose 2 games by 20+ points each.

Stupid stupid nba live 06.

Anyways, the only thing about the prediction that i like is Clippers passing first round.

Excellent idea you had there Andrew! I had to do the same with ... NBA Live 2000! :D

Please keep in mind that Live 2000 uses the old playoffs system ie the first round is played in 5 games

1st round
Spurs 3, Kings 0
Mavs 3, Grizzlies 0
Nuggets 3, Clippers 2
Suns 3, Lakers 0

Pistons 3, Bucks 2 Both teams won all their home games. Final game: 85-88. This series was far harder than expected for the Pistons
Cavs 3, Wizards 0 Like in Andrew's game, Cavs swept Wizards... but in real life I really can't see that
Nets 2, Pacers 3 Very unexpected performance from the Pacers here... Indiana won the final game at New Jersey 85-82 to advance the 2nd round
Heat 3, Bulls 2 At 0-2, Chicago managed to win 2 consecutive games to go to the final game, just to be blowed 82-107 in Florida

2nd round
Spurs 3, Mavericks 4 after losing their first 2 games at home, the Spurs managed to survive until the ultimate game, but without success
Suns 4, Nuggets 2

Pistons 4, Cavs 1
Heat 4, Pacers 1

Conference Finals
Mavericks 4, Suns 3 6 of 7 games were really close, with no one winning by more than 5 points

Pistons 4, Heat 1 A rematch of last year, even if the scores were close, Pistons didn't lose time to reach the Finals

NBA Finals
Pistons 4, Mavericks 3 Wow, maybe Mavericks were thinking they almost did it when they took the lead 3-2 in the series, but Pistons won the 2 final games 86-87 and 88-90!

Some interesting results there Alexboom, the first round is perhaps a little skewed because NBA Live 2000 is from the 5-7-7-7 era and the 7 game series allows comebacks as well as couple of wins for the lower seeds to avoid sweeps. Not completely unrealistic but Spurs/Pistons in a 7 game series would've probably been more accurate (or would it? I guess we'll find out). I was surprised the Spurs won it so easily in my simulation, especially after losing three straight in the Clippers series.

You really got a point with that 5 game series here, although in my sim the only upset is the Pacers beating the Nets. Nevertheless I still prefer the old system, because I like surprises

The Mavs beating the Spurs really surprised me. I checked Spurs roster, but they didn't suffer from any major injury (Nesterovic is not a major player, is he? :P). I can't really explain it, as not only the Mavs beat the Spurs, but they also beat the Suns... Maybe Live 2000 sim engine prefers teams stacked with talented individuals...

I also checked the stats, but did not find any major flaws, well, maybe just one: Tim Duncan averaged more assists than Tony Parker (3.5 for TD, 3.4 for TP)

No way Spurs will be the champs! Lakers have good chances to beat the Suns!
My pic for champ is Detroit!

I don't think the Spurs are a lock for the title either but to say there's no way they'll win it is going a bit far seeing as how they won 63 games and appear to be in good shape right now.

The blowout results only means one thing. Andrew's latest roster patch is fucked up.

How about simming the playoffs 7 times Andrew? The team that wins the Finals most will probably be the champion.

I think they'll get passed Indie and have a great chance at passing the Heat.

haha, these predictions were not that bad, at last in mine I had Dallas in the Finals, but who would expected Miami to win the Championship this year?

Look at their roster. It was going to happen sooner rather than later.
