Golden State rookies Ike Diogu and Monta Ellis enjoy playing with each other so much, that Diogu already has a vision of what they can be like in the future.

"A Stockton and Malone tandem," he said. To which Ellis replied: "We could be, but I really wouldn't do that. I'd just say Ike and Monta."

"It's great to be like Stockton and Malone, Kobe and Shaq, Scottie and Michael," Ellis said. "But it's Monta and Ike ... Just young guys like us trying to make a name for ourselves."

That's probably because you're brain is the size of a peanut. But that's another issue.

He finds the fact Ike is saying they could be the next Stockton & Malone amusing.

I don't find it that hilarious, it's just what young guys say to pep themselves up, it's not the end of the world. Now that would be hilarious.

Ike is OK, leave him alonel. He's just saying that there's basketball chemistry between those two and that they could be something special. I don't know what's so funny about that.

Yeah right.

An unreasonable comparison but I think they'll both be decent players. Both have shown flashes, and Monta is more of a scoring guard so I don't think Stockton is a good comparison for him.

Did anyone else realize that in the NBA boxscores it showed Monta Ellis playing SF? Wierd. :|

There's no way Ellis can play SF, he's rail thin and he's only 6'3. Ellis is more of an undersized scoring 2 guard.

Maybe not Stockton and Malone, but definetly two players w/ a good future in Oakland. I wouldn't even call them future All-stars, but Diogu will probably average a double double and Ellis 15 ppg in a few years.
